After musing it for some more, Elias felt a jolt as he was moved.
"So, it finihshed?" He muttered, before eying the door in front of him. Above it, written in large, bold letter,
TUTORIAL STAGE
Walking towards the door, it dissipates, showing his avatar. He walked towards it, before feeling he was pulled towards it.
The feeling was disorienting, to say the least.
"Well, that felt like being thrown into a roller-coaster." As Elias' vision returned, he felt like he was in a mascot costume, something he, unfortunately, had experience of.
He raised his hands, wiggling his fingers first before taking the first step.
"Well, that was something," there were no other words to describe what he was feeling.
He then looked around the place, before easily spotting the first part of the tutorial.
MOVEMENT
[Players may feel disorientation on their first time using the system. This stage is for players to get used to basic movements moving towards the next part of the tutorial.]
"They already warned us. Good thing I expected it." He wondered how many people did not read the warning and probably wanted to puke their guts out.
On the empty stage, Elias performed some basic stretches first. Then, he went for a walk, which turned to a jog, which transformed to straight up running.
"Weird," he exclaimed after running for 3 minutes straight. "I don't feel tired at all." Sure, it's a game but if he doesn't feel fatigue, it will be hard to implement the stamina system.
[Stamina effect will only be placed in latter part of the tutorial.]
"That's convenient." Elias muttered. Maybe he triggered some kind of protocol, causing the guide to answer when certain keywords were spoken in some part of the tutorial.
Pushing the thought aside for now, Elias resumed the tutorial. Walking towards the next door, he easily saw the next door.
COMBAT
Passing through it, the blue-haired young man saw a huma- no, a puppet made to resemble a human.
Besides the training dummy, were weapon racks, with all kinds of weapons. From different types of swords and spears, to warhammer, and maces.
Then, a string of text appeared in front of him.
[WEAPON MASTERY
Weapon Mastery affects the ability of players when using different types of weapon. The only way to improve Weapon Mastery is by training and using the weapon. For example, training with a sword will improve Sword Mastery.
The effect of high weapon mastery is an increase in damage, lower Weapon ????? countdown, and high attack speed while using weapons.
Reminder: Weapon Mastery of different types are not interchangeable. For example, Mastery of Sword cannot be exchanged to Mastery of Spear.
Reminder: Players can have more than one type of Weapon Mastery.]
'Make sense,' he thought before the guide spoke,
[Player Alisnair, please choose a weapon.]
Picking the sword, [Are you sure this is your weapon of choice] appeared with the usual two choice appeared; yes and no. Underneath, a reminder appeared, [weapon of choice during tutorial will have an improved Weapon Mastery when players enter the World of Ilyon.]
Elias performed a few experimental swings, getting used to the weight and balance of the sword. Once he was satisfied, he clicked the [Yes] button.
As he pressed the button, the weapon racks disappeared, leaving behind the training dummy and sword. As he stepped towards the dummy, a red bar appeared on top of it.
[VITALITY
Vitality is how much damage in-game characters and players can take before dying. Once a player's Vitality reaches 0, it will result in death of the player. Vitality can be increased by raising ????? and improving Constitution.
Reminder: Dying in-game will have repercussions for the player. Players will feel like they are electrocuted all over the body when they die. Dying in-game will also cause players to not be able to enter the game for a week and players will lose all progression unless players buy ??????.
Reminder: Red bar indicating Vitality only appears during training. In World of Ilyon, it will not be shown, so players have to be mindful of it.]
"Huh, the game punishes you for dying. Then again, this is supposed to be a prototype system to control robots from far so it makes sense InterCorp doesn't want certain habits to appear when they introduce the working system."
Elias turned his attention to the red bar once more, the number 20 in it.
"Let see then," Elias performed a cursory jab, stabbing at the gut. He looked at the red bar, watching as it went down to 10. He then see a [Reset] button.
Pressing it, he watched as the training dummy returned to its previous state.
"So, we can train multiple times," taking the opportunity, Elias unleashed a flurry of blows, to see the amount of damage he could do to a training dummy.
-x-
After 5 minutes of stabbing a defenseless dummy, Elias was able to tell the damage he would do if he targeted one part.
"Limbs do the least amount of damage, but it can disable foes if I hit the joints. Midsection will do a lot of damage but it will not KO anyone unless I hit the vitals, and even then it rarely kills immediately unless I hit the heart.
Hitting the head does a lot of damage as well and it can probably cause concussion, if it replicates it to that level. And a strong enough blow on the noggin would kill anyone.
[HIT EFFECT
Hitting different parts of enemies will result in different amount of damages
+ 5 Knowledge Point]
Elias raised his brows at the screen.
"Knowledge Point?" He asked out loud, hoping the system will tell him something about the new form of points.
Unfortunately, it seem to not inclined to answer his question.
