It's Sunday. Midterm is near, so me and Luna are currently studying.
"Hey Minami-oniisan, you have good grades right?"
"Yeah why'd you ask?" I'm curious what Luna is planning.
"Umm... I really wanna improve but no one is even close to rivaling my grades so... Why not have a friendly competition to further improve ourselves?" Luna said with innocence.
"Sure." I mindlessly said.
I didn't know that this single thing I said would spiral into something I didn't fathom or calculate.

[3rd Person POV]
Minami, Araragi Ishida, and Luna are currently studying in the library.
"Studying for exam? That's unnecessary if you study on a regular basis, then you won't have any problem." Luna stated a matter of factly.
"Cramming in one night is bad for your health. My doctors at the Symboli household has warned me about it, so I highly recommend you avoid last minute cramming." Luna said, while closing the book she is reading.
THAT WAS A LIE!
THIS GIRL HAS BEEN SKIPPING MEALS AND TRAINING TIME TO CRAM! IN FACT, SHE HAS BEEN CRAMMING FOR 6 DAYS STRAIGHT!
HER EYES ARE BLOODSHOT RIGHT NOW. AND SHE IS HIDING IT WITH CONTACT LENSES THAT SHE HAS JUST BOUGHT FOR $10,000.
"Mhm. Like Luna said, exams are meant to showcase your abilities. Pushing yourself to the limit just to get a good grade is not a reflection of yourself." Minami nodded while pushing up his glasses.
"It's best to take your exam as your true self." Minami said a matter of factly.
THAT WAS A LIE.
THIS GUY JUST TO BEAT LUNA GOES ALL OUT IN HIS TEST UNTIL HIS EYES WIDEN AND FAINT.
'I CAN'T BELIEVE IT, I'M A TRANSMIGRATOR AND I'M LOSING TO A KID 3 YEARS YOUNGER THAN ME... WHERE'S MY PRIDE?!'
"Studying doesn't always reflect in your scores right away."

"In-fact, it might even be better not to study at all." Minami muttered emotionlessly, his eyes covered in black lines.

"So what do you think?!" Minami and Luna both said while eyeing each other, a silent force is crackling between them.

"Hmm... I see, I get it now alright..." Ishida muttered while looking the notebook he is reading seriously.
Bang!
He slapped his notebook to the table which both startled Minami and Luna, while the sound reverberates around the library.
"I'm not gonna study!" Ishida puffed up his chest proudly while proclaiming it, earning a few stares in the library.
AND HE WAS SERIOUS.
THIS GUY JUST WANTED TO ASK ABOUT THEIR STUDY METHODS TO IMPROVE HIS GRADES, BUT! HE IS INSTANTLY DRAGGED INTO LUNA AND MINAMI'S BACKSTABBING GAME.
His Grades were average. And he has a strong desire to learn. Aside from that, he's also a pretty good student.
So he has no reason to doubt the words of his 2 "Friends" that are top students in their respective school.
And yet...
HE STILL HASN'T REALIZE THAT THIS IS ALL PART OF THEIR PRE-BATTLE DIRTY TRICK!
IN HIS LAST 3 EXAMS, HIS GRADES HAS BEEN STEADILY DECREASING, JUST BECAUSE HE LISTENS TO WHAT LUNA AND MINAMI SAYS IN THEIR MENTAL GYMNASTIC WARFARE.
Poor Ishida...
~5 days later at the library.~
"My, congratulations Minami-oniisan. You got a perfect score." Luna said, his face blooming with smile.
"You did great too Luna. If I let my guard down just a little, I would have been the one losing." Minami said humbly.
"No need to be so humble Minami-oniisan. I totally accept this defeat with grace."
"You must be happy now Minami-neesan, that makes it 3 wins in a row." Luna said neutrally.
Minami hearing those words sighed.
"Honestly, I'm just glad that this is finally over. I don't even have the energy to feel happy anymore." Minami leaned back at his chair.
Minami suddenly stood up. "I'll go to the bathroom for a bit."
WHAT LUNA SAID WAS A LIE.
THIS GIRL IS SO FRUSTRATED THAT SHE MIGHT START CRYING TEARS OF BLOOD.
'JUST YESTERDAY, HE FAINTED, AND I WAS THE ONE WHO CARRIED HIM TO HIS HOUSE!! WHEN HE WAS ASLEEP, HE KEPT MUMBLING, "I WON'T LOSE... I WON'T LOSE..." SERIOUSLY, THAT WAS SO SCARY, AND NOW HE'S TOTALLY FINE HOW IS THAT EVEN FAIR!? I MEAN, HE WAS DRINKING THAT WEIRD ROYAL BITTER JUICE THAT ISN'T EVEN SOLD ANYMORE!! A PERFECT SCORES!? IS THIS WORLD SOME KIND OF FICTION? IF IT IS, THEN GIVE ME THE POWER TO WIN AGAINST MINAMI-ONIISAN TOO!'
HER FACE IS CURRENTLY TWISTED IN SHOCK, ANGER, AND HUMILIATION.
~In the Bathroom~
WHAT MINAMI SAID WAS ALSO A LIE.
THIS GUY, WAS SO OVERJOYED, THAT HE STARTED SHADOW BOXING IN THE BATHROOM WHICH STARTLED AN OLD GUY PEEING.
'HEEEEEEEY!!!!! I WON!!!! I'M THE BEST!!! WOHHH!!!'
He hasn't even realized that the one he has beaten is 3 years younger than him. How shameless.
