Chapter 1 - I'm not Selling!

[Mohan Das's P.O.V.]

"Peace, peace, peace. This is all I wanted in my life.

A secure, well-salaried job, low work, more movies, games, and one loving partner. This is what I've chosen at my very young age. As I wished, God presented me with an easy path to achieve what I wanted with little effort.

But now I stand in a room that contains powerful people from two gaming corporations of the world. All eyes are staring at me for my decision. Speaking of the fact, any of these two organizations can end my life with power.

The reason for this special situation in my peaceful life is my brother. Unlike me, my brother is a gaming legend. He is the SUPREME SWORD MAGUS! "

"Mohan, stop being silent… Look at the wealth on this table. It's one million US dollars. All this could be yours with one single decision." Lucas, the owner of the Texas Giants, one of the Americans' top guilds, said with a serious look.

Mohan lifted his head and saw the stacked money on the table and then looked straight into the eyes of the Texas Giants guild owner, Lucas.

"Think about it, Mohan. It's a win-win situation. You will get a large sum of money, and we will receive the virtual gaming sword left by your brother. Both of us will benefit greatly through this deal." The lady who is popularly known as the Red Queen in the gaming world spoke in a persuasive tone (she is the leader of the Indian Kings Gaming Corporation). Mohan was very surprised to see her soft side today.

This is definitely a dream for Mohan. His brother Vikram, who left home years ago, is the reason for this special situation in his life. But even after listening to all persuasion, Mohan was dead silent.

Still, one single thought loomed in his brain—that is, "Where is my brother now?!" and why did my non-caring brother transfer such a valuable item to me?"

Mohan clearly knows that his brother had concerns for Mohan… but they barely talk to each other. Instead of sending money, his brother Vikram always asked for money from Mohan many times. Of course, Mohan delivered that money without any questions. For Mohan, Vikram is his brother more than any gaming legend.

"The supreme sword will become an utter waste in your hands, Mohan. You better hand it over right now." Leo, the number one gamer of Indian Kings Guild spoke in a belitting tone.

"Yes, yes. Only sky rankers who mastered the game of True Heaven can use the supreme rank weapons. Even if you hold the supreme sword, you can't use it in a fight." Another guild member of Texas Giants suggested from the side.

More words flowed as everyone tried to shamelessly push Mohan. All they were waiting for was Mohan to submit the supreme sword to their guilds.

Out of all things, before him, Mohan was thinking about where his brother could have left. One thing is certain—he is not dead. The final letter left by him is proof that Vikram is very much alive.

Ten years. Ten Years… The time passed like a dream. His brother Vikram left home ten years back when he got the opportunity to play for the Texas Giants. At that time, Mohan was 11, and now he is 21. His brother Vikram was 25 now. But in these ten years, they never met, only the occasional virtual calls. That too—only Vikram called to speak with their single mother!

Sweat appeared on the forehead of Mohan as he made a decision under the predatory eyes of gaming people. Mohan stood up slowly.

Ignoring the emotions on his face. One of the guild members brought the biometric blood DNA scanner to Mohan. Everyone's thoughts are the same. Mohan was going to submit the supreme sword to them.

But the delight and smugness on their faces faded when Mohan took a step back with a serious face.

"Mohan, what are you doing?!" Lucas, the head of the Texas Giants guild, cried out in a serious tone. There is also a similar look on the face of the Red Queen.

"I… I want to keep my brother's gift…" Mohan replied in a stuttered tone.

"What…?!" Almost everyone inside that room cried out in shock.

"It's a useless shit in your hands, but to us it's a life-saving treasure. Stop acting stupid…" Lucas, the Texas Giants owner, shouted angrily.

"Sorry, Lucas. I don't want to sell my brother's gift for money or any benefits." Mohan replied as he reached the room door.

"Mohan, think about it. This is not some child's play. The Red Queen said with a look of seriousness on her face.

"Hey kid! I will give you 10 times more money and a lifelong stable, secure job of your choice. Also, I will definitely find your brother for you. It's my promise. Please hand over the supreme sword!" Lucas desperately urged as he stood up from his chair.

"Do you love your family?" Mohan asked suddenly, looking straight into the eyes of Texas Giants owner, Lucas.

"What?" Lucas was startled.

"If you love your family, leave me alone. Because only I can find my brother," Mohan said plainly.

"What did you say? Can you at least reach the sky realm in your life? The true heaven is not a game for kids."

Lucas lost control in his anger. He couldn't believe that Mohan rejected him to his face. Lucas didn't want to lose to a kid in attitude, but he can't do anything in this situation. He came here to get the supreme sword and rule the true heaven in every competition.

"We'll meet soon," Mohan said this phrase finally and stepped out of the room.

"Mohan…" At this moment, the Red Queen, owner of the Indian Kings guild, called out.

Mohan stopped and tilted his head slightly to the side, listening as the lady said behind him… "You also know how hard it is to reach the sky realm in True Heaven. In case you ever change your mind, the Indian Kings guild will always be ready to offer you better value than anyone else." She paused, waiting for Mohan's answer.

"I will keep that in mind." Mohan replied.

"If you want to play the True Heaven really, I will offer a place for you in my organization. The 10th season of True Heaven is starting in one week. What do you say?" The Red Queen asked again.

"Right now, I don't deserve a spot in India's number one guild. Stop showing me sympathy. Also, if I stay here, my mind will be occupied with continuous attention and competition. I will never find my brother if I stay here, so leave me alone." Mohan declared.

"I will respect your decision. My driver is waiting downstairs. He will drop you at home. Also, if you need any favors in the future, don't hesitate to call me." The Red Queen said as she handed over a professional card.

Mohan gave a slight nod and accepted the card before leaving the Indian Kings gaming guild house.
