Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 - It's So Nice Between Girls

---o---

Tsumugi Kotobuki: "As expected, it's so nice between girls."

Utaha Kasumigaoka: "Interesting things... Um, that doesn't mean what I think it means, does it?"

Kurumi Tokisaki: "Ara, ara. To think such things happen between girls as well."

Conan Edogawa: "This woman named Elysia is certainly... uh, a person of great character."

The screen's presentation caused Elysia's inner thoughts to be heard by everyone across the multiverse.

Because of what Elysia said, the vast majority of people couldn't help but let their minds wander.

Only those familiar with Elysia knew that the "interesting things" she referred to had absolutely no such connotation. Perhaps it was because Elysia had noticed something unusual about the young woman.

But, prioritizing finding pretty girls to befriend? Yes, that was very Elysia.

Gazing at the video on the screen, Kevin, in the Sea of Quanta, thought idly to himself. Her appearance, her personality, down to the smallest detail—she was identical to the Elysia he knew.

But... Elysia was clearly dead. At that ball long ago, Elysia had confessed everything to them, and he had watched as that Flame-Chaser departed from the world.

In the world today, only the Elysian Realm remained to record everything about her.

A war fought to fulfill a wish? If it were Elysia, she wouldn't stand aside.

---o---

[The sudden voice startled Irisviel, causing her to hastily step back.

At that moment, Elysia's face came into her view.

She had to admit, among all the people Irisviel had ever seen, the young woman's beauty was truly outstanding.

Is she a Servant?

Because she was observing from up close, Irisviel could clearly see Elysia's ears, which were different from an ordinary person's.

Such ears were definitely not something a normal human could possess. She was either a Servant or a homunculus like herself.

Irisviel looked at Elysia cautiously, her tone guarded and distant. "Are you a Servant?"

If she really was an enemy Servant, then this was dangerous. Saber was busy fighting Lancer and couldn't possibly attend to things here. And with her own abilities, she would be no match for the girl before her.

The only saving grace was that she wasn't Saber's true Master. Even if the girl in front of her killed her, it wouldn't cause Saber to be eliminated from the war.

And in that situation, Kiritsugu would be able to obtain the information he needed.

Irisviel thought silently to herself. No matter the final outcome of the Holy Grail War, she could not escape death. To be able to do something more for Kiritsugu in the limited time she had left was her true purpose for participating in this war.

Witnessing Irisviel's intense vigilance, Elysia felt a little hurt. She hadn't even done anything yet and was already being treated like this.

"Being treated with such an attitude by a beautiful girl... even I get my feelings hurt, you know."

The enemy-like look on Irisviel's face made Elysia extremely dejected.

As if she had suffered some great injustice, the young woman lowered her head, looking as if she were about to cry. Her crestfallen appearance was incredibly pitiful.

This made Irisviel a bit awkward, unsure of what to do. Come to think of it, if this young woman had wanted to harm her, she could have done so moments ago; she had absolutely no way to resist.

She had been too quick to judge. Thinking about it carefully, Elysia showed not a shred of hostility. Perhaps it was all a misunderstanding.

And Elysia's current state, on the contrary, made her panic. The young woman who was just smiling a moment ago now looked so pitiful, as if she were about to shed tears.

Irisviel quickly waved her hands and spoke in the same gentle voice she used to lull Illya to sleep. "I am so sorry. My attitude was uncalled for. Please don't be sad, okay?"

Who would have known? The hurt expression on Elysia's face vanished as if it were a mask, and she quickly grasped Irisviel's hands.

Her previous sadness had disappeared somewhere, and with stars twinkling in her eyes, Elysia said excitedly, "Really? That's wonderful! I thought you were going to hate me~"

"Eh?" Elysia's sudden change in expression left Irisviel unable to adapt. Were all Japanese people like this?

Feeling the warmth of Elysia's hands, Irisviel was at a loss. Other than Kiritsugu and Illya, she had never had such physical contact with a stranger.

Oh, she seemed to have had some physical contact with Saber when she arrived in Japan, but even Saber wasn't this... enthusiastic.

That's right. Just holding hands was one thing—they were both girls, after all. But what was with the way Elysia looked like she wanted to press right up against her? They were complete strangers just moments ago!]

Eriri Spencer Sawamura: "Holy crap, she's actually gay."

Magical Girl Illya: "I can't believe Papa would lose to a girl."

Schicksal Overseer: "Hmm, pink hair, a lesbian... some unpleasant memories are suddenly coming to mind."

Conan Edogawa: "Does anyone remember this person is a transmigrator? Arriving suddenly in a strange environment, doesn't she have any sense of crisis?"

Uchiha Madara: "More than this, I care about the fight between Saber and Lancer."

Eden: "...This is just one of the ways Ely expresses friendship. She's often like this, so don't mind it."

Yukino Yukinoshita: "Often? Are you an acquaintance?"

L: "They must be from the same world. Since this screen of light can connect people from so many worlds, it would naturally include the world Elysia herself is from."

Hachiman Hikigaya: "A way of expressing friendship... Is your world that open?"

---o---

Countless comments flashed across the screen, but what surprised Kevin the most was that Eden had appeared among them.

How...? After the Previous Era was destroyed, Eden should have...

As the most brilliant star of the Previous Era, Eden had been unwilling to enter a cryo-pod to await the next cycle of civilization, choosing instead to perish along with her own.

Is this a parallel world, or is there some other reason?

"Gray Serpent... make preparations. I need to enter the Elysian Realm..."

Kevin pondered for a moment before contacting Gray Serpent in the outside world. If there was any place in this world where memories of the other Flame-Chasers still remained...

Aside from his own memories, it could only be the Elysian Realm.
