"I'll tell you everything," Toya said quietly.
"Just stay still."
The room fell silent.
The faint hum of medical equipment filled the air. Rain tapped softly against the hospital window, each drop slow and distant.
Toya continued, his voice steady but heavy.
"Neraxis took over your body. He killed Kael. Killed Seraphine… and Ren. Toura was injured."
Noctyre's eyes widened.
Slowly, he raised his hands in front of him. Pale. Still trembling.
"…Did I do all of this?" he whispered.
Toya smiled faintly—sad, tired.
"It was Neraxis. Not you."
He paused, then added,
"There are people who want your execution. The Draven Clan especially. Because you possess the Judgement of Umbra."
Noctyre's breath grew shallow. His body trembled.
"Then… kill me," he said quietly.
"If that settles things."
Toya immediately grabbed his hands, firm.
"No."
He leaned closer.
"There aren't many hunters left. You're one of the remaining S-graders now—alongside Toura Oni, Ishihara… and Yura."
Noctyre swallowed.
"Where's Yura? And Toura Oni… I want to see them."
Toya looked away.
"After so much grief, loss, and pain… Yura lost himself."
He exhaled slowly.
"He disappeared. As if he never existed. No one knows where he is now."
A pause.
"But Neraxis," Toya added, "is dead."
Suddenly—
A deep, menacing laugh echoed across the city.
Not loud.
Not close.
But familiar.

Lily stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him.
"So," she said softly, "it's just us."
Wasabi returned the hug.
"Yeah," he replied. "Us."
Lily pulled back slightly, her eyes gleaming.
"Then let's do what we planned."
Wasabi smiled faintly.
"Yeah."
