Why was there such an emotion in Daphne's eyes as she looked at her?
That's what Philippa thought as her heels clicked against the floor, walking towards Daphne, who was sitting there, looking at her.
Daphne didn't have that warm expression she usually had every time they met. The guilt flickered in her eyes before returning to calm, and Philippa didn't like what she saw.
What was Daphne hiding from her?
"You are here!" Daphne flatly said, as she gave Philippa a nod, guilt eating her inside.
Her hands were unfortunately tied. Nothing much could be done.
"Why do you look like you aren't happy to see me?" sounding aggrieved, Philippa asked as she pulled the chair to settle herself in.
Daphne propped her elbows on the desk and looked at Philippa with a calm expression before letting out a sigh, "I wasn't expecting you. Besides, I didn't think that I would get to see the prideful Philippa looking for me first after everything that happened," and responded truthfully.
