Ring. Ring.
The phone was ringing and vibrating on the island jolting Marjorie out of her dangerous thoughts.
'Who could it be?' she wondered as she wiped her hands, her attention shifting to the phone just a short distance away from her.
The phone continued to ring and Marjorie took a few steps before picking the phone. As soon as she picked it, her eyes lit up upon seeing the name on the screen.
[Bel.]
"Is my girl getting impatient already?" she chuckled as she swiped the screen to answer.
"Darling!" she cheerfully answered, putting the call on speaker.
[Marj dear, did you miss me?] Amabel's teasing voice sounded through the speaker and Marjorie burst into a hearty laughter.
Why was her best friend turning into a funny character every single day?
"If I don't miss you, who am I supposed to miss?" Marjorie responded playfully, playing along to her friend's antics.
