"Lalala…" A small voice echoed happily through the palace halls. "The froggy's out to get you!"
Lior skipped along the corridor, swinging his arms as though he were performing for an invisible audience.
"Lalala…" he continued proudly. "The froggy has a plan!"
Kaelis looked down at him, one eyebrow slowly rising.
"Lior," he says, "that's...an interesting song."
"Lalala!" Lior looked up with a grin that nearly split his face. "You better run away!" he finished triumphantly before bursting into giggles.
"I made it!" he announced proudly.
"Really?" Kaelis asks, sounding even more surprised.
"Uh huh!" Lior nodded enthusiastically. "Sometimes I just sing whatever pops into my head!"
Kaelis couldn't help smiling.
"Isn't the song a little...dark, though?"
He replayed the lyrics in his mind.
It was undeniably adorable.
The subject matter, however, was oddly threatening.
Lior frowned.
"How is it dark?" he asks. "Can you see songs, Kakay?"
Kaelis stopped walking.
