Chapter 77 - Interlude

Returned safely to Chaldea.

As per the usual procedure, Takumi first used Chaldea's equipment to check his physical condition.

Muscle strain and physical exhaustion were all too common. Then there were the cutting wounds on his arms, ribs, collarbone, and other parts caused by Hector, all slash-type damage.

Besides these, Takumi had almost no injuries worth mentioning.

It wasn't that Takumi cherished his life too much (and avoided danger), but mainly because he was indeed good at defense.

After all, [Escapist] wasn't as strenuous to use as before, and the defensive power of his Noble Phantasm exceeded before.

Plus, in the battle of this Singularity, Takumi's side only had a numerical disadvantage when fighting Blackbeard at the beginning. Later on, they had a numerical advantage, so such a result wasn't surprising.

As always, after returning to Chaldea, Takumi relaxed completely, no longer keeping an eye on his surroundings like in the Singularity.

Backhandedly drawing healing Runes on himself, Takumi walked slowly along the corridor towards the Central Control Room.

The recovery effect of Runes was very strong. Even if Takumi didn't use them perfectly, it wouldn't take much time to recover from these minor injuries.

Or rather, ordinary injuries weren't considered serious for a Magus with some resources, unless it was something fatal like losing a kidney or a head, or something very severe. Basically, they could recover to a normal state within a few short days.

After all, Magecraft, in a sense, is a mystic art to shorten the process of executing a task.

For example, creating a fireball the size of a basketball. Ordinary humans can also do it, but ordinary people need to find combustible materials, ensure there are enough accelerants, and take out a lighter or matches to ignite it. Only after such a full process can a ball of flame the size of a basketball be created.

In contrast, a Magus can shorten this project to only one or two processes, perhaps snapping their fingers to create the same flame.

Therefore, the simpler it is for humans to do something, the lower the Mystery of the magecraft that can quickly complete this task, and the smaller the power.

By analogy, the more difficult it is for humans to do something, the higher the Mystery of the magecraft that can quickly complete this task, and the greater the power.

This is one of the underlying logics of magecraft.

And the only skill on Takumi that can prove he barely counts as a Magus—[Runes], discovered and created by the great god Odin in Norse mythology, is basically not in the same system as modern magecraft, and its power is far stronger than general magecraft.

General magecraft can shorten the recovery time of such injuries to a few days, let alone Takumi who inherited Cú Chulainn's skill rank.

"About the same as last time. Should be fully recovered by tomorrow morning..."

"But I remember Jack the Ripper is in London of the Fourth Singularity. If the conditions 'Mist', 'Night', and 'Female' are met, her Noble Phantasm and stats will increase. Thinking like this, it's better to enter the Singularity tomorrow noon."

Although Takumi isn't a woman and Jack the Ripper poses a low threat to him, it's more appropriate to be extra vigilant against an Assassin.

"As for now, let's write a diary first."

Writing a diary gradually transformed from a boring pastime to a habit for Takumi. As long as he returned from a Singularity, Takumi would more or less write a summary.

However, Takumi's diary writing couldn't be called serious. Aside from liking to use memes, he also liked to write a bit here and there. Often there was no logic, mainly highlighting doing whatever he wanted, writing whatever came to mind.

Sitting in the main seat of the Control Room, Takumi picked up a pen and started writing:

"Third Singularity: Okeanos of the Storm."

"Rayshift landing point judgment: Great Success!"

"I thought I would land on a vast sea without seeing a single person or ship, and I was prepared to make the Wyverns suffer again. Unexpectedly, I landed directly in front of Captain Drake, the most critical person in the entire Singularity..."

"Note: Drake is a beautiful big sister with a huge chest. Like Artoria and His Majesty Nero, she is not male as in history—but don't casually treat the Boss as a woman. She is a male among females, a man among women. Moreover, she is very bold, likes adventure, has many ideas, and is the eternal Boss, the eternal Captain of the Golden Wild Hunt."

"...New crew member—Takumi enlisted, bounty 50, is a pirate..."

"...Pirate seniors are very enthusiastic, just that their life is a bit too unrestrained. Thinking about it, the feeling of vomiting violently isn't pleasant..."

"Encountered the first opponent. Although the intensity didn't reach the level of a final boss, our side only had me and Captain Drake counting as Servants. The battle situation was unfavorable..."

"Hector is very tricky. Even if he didn't use his full strength, barely stalling him was my limit."

"Note: If this seemingly harmless uncle is on the enemy side, never let your guard down against him!"

"As for Blackbeard... a bit perverted, a bit annoying... What? You ask why I don't have other comments? Sorry, my biggest impression is only these."

"...Under the storm, the Golden Wild Hunt flew into the sky again. This is our escape route!"

"Justice rains from above, smashed someone's roof. The furious bull almost rammed me to death, but the Japanese Captain logged on, threatened the 'little loli', and successfully avoided a battle..."

"Asterios joined, Euryale joined. Our combat power increased sharply. I had a bold idea..."

"...Plan failed. The matchmaking mechanism kicked in. The bot uncle Hector suddenly awakened, snatched the Holy Grail, and attracted the final BOSS Jason and the others..."

"—Hector, you deserve to die!!"

"...Strategic transfer. This time the ship went underwater. The Golden Wild Hunt successfully completed the three great achievements of going to the sky, entering the sea, and sailing on dry land."

.

"But except for sailing on dry land, I really don't want to do the others again..."

"Supplemented combat power again. Moon Goddess Artemis. As I expected, she isn't much stronger than a conventional ordinary Servant..."

"Sleeping on a ship for the first time. Novel, happy!"

"Woken up by a kick from [Old Man] (Revelation) in the middle of the night. Unhappy."

"...All-out night operation. Not a chance encounter, but prepared. However, Heracles is strong as a monster. Even trying our best, we couldn't defeat him..."

"...Final victory. Goddess-sama's reward was incredibly sweet. Like!"

Writing to the end, Takumi hesitated for a moment, glancing at his previous comments on Jeanne and Nero.

Will this make me seem very frivolous, very scumbag?

"Screw it. Since I already wrote like that before, one more won't matter!"

Takumi simply smashed the pot and wrote at the end:

"Euryale is very beautiful and cute. If possible, I want another kiss!"

"Her feet are also very beautiful. Paired with those exquisite sandals, super pretty!"

"Note: His Majesty Nero seems to like gold a bit too much. The boots worn during battle are really a bit... In short, this is disrespect to her own beautiful feet!"
