Chapter 42 - Drink Less Alcohol

Morning sunlight quietly entered the dilapidated wooden house through the large hole above, where snoring rose and fell.

While bringing light to the room, the warm rays also licked the cheek of the boy sleeping on the table.

The sunlight made him itch a little. The boy frowned, and his fingers moved slightly.

"Mmh..."

Accompanied by a meaningless sound, Takumi, who was lying on the table, opened his eyes groggily.

Straightening up, Takumi stared blankly at the table for a while.

Last night's memories returned to his brain along with his gradually clearing thoughts.

Smack!

Takumi slapped his own face, full of regret.

Boss, you plotted against me!

He wondered why Drake specifically came over to hand him a cup of wine, said two sentences, and then ran away without insisting on him drinking a few sips.

Turns out she was waiting for him right there!

Last night, after Drake handed Takumi a cup of wine, although she didn't urge him to drink, her not doing so didn't mean the other brothers didn't!

When the pirates discovered a cup of wine in front of Takumi's table but he showed no intention of drinking it.

Only then did they realize they had forgotten the rookie. So, one by one, emboldened by alcohol, they ran over grinning to urge Takumi to drink.

Takumi had a soft personality and was afraid they would cause a ruckus. After refusing several times to no avail, he helplessly drank two sips.

As a result, they got even more excited!

To make Takumi drink a few more sips, they used all their tricks.

Including but not limited to: "You drink one sip, we drink two," and hugging the keg to guzzle it down.

What else could Takumi do in this situation?

He could only follow suit and pour wine into his mouth with his head down.

In the end, Takumi didn't know how much he drank. Maybe he drank a lifetime's worth of alcohol, to the point where he blacked out at some unknown time.

He knew nothing about what happened in the latter half of the night.

But judging from the pirates' appearance...

"It seems we experienced an intense drinking battle..."

Takumi looked around the whole room with difficulty, his line of sight never rising high.

Within the range of his vision, no one was sitting or standing; all were lying on the ground in disorder.

Snoring sounds rose and fell, like playing an unpleasant symphony.

If Amadeus were here, he would definitely go crazy.

Thinking of this, Takumi actually felt somewhat fortunate that his alcohol tolerance wasn't good.

"Better go out for some fresh air first. The smell in the room is truly hard to compliment..."

Shaking his head, Takumi got up and walked carefully towards the outside of the house.

After a night of baptism, even though the wooden house had many holes and air circulation was relatively fast, it was inevitably filled with a complex and strange smell.

After all, inside were a large bunch of rough men; only Drake was a woman.

Besides everyone's various body odors, Takumi even saw a few people who had taken off their boots, exposing their smelly feet to the air.

There were also those who drank too much and vomited directly on the ground—that smell was simply outrageous!

Creak...

He pushed the door open impatiently.

Inhale——

As soon as he came out of the house, Takumi took big gulps of the fresh air outside.

Until all the exhaust gas in his chest was expelled.

"Phew... Finally came back to life!"

Feeling reborn, Takumi stretched and narrowed his eyes comfortably.

The morning sun was gentle and not dazzling. While dispelling the dark night, it also draped a layer of golden gauze over the world. The air was filled with a fresh scent, appearing particularly vivid and full of vitality.

Takumi, who hadn't enjoyed the morning time for a long time, was inevitably attracted by this scenery.

Rubbing his head, which ached slightly from the hangover, Takumi sat at the door of the wooden house, quietly watching this peaceful and harmonious scenery like an old man enjoying life.

Letting the sunlight shine on his body, bringing a trace of warmth to his body, which felt somewhat cold after sleeping on the table all night.

Looking into the distance, only then did Takumi realize he was on a small island.

Layers of waves brought a rhythmic crashing sound, and sea birds could occasionally be seen flying overhead, making strange calls.

Suddenly, as if discovering something, Takumi stuck his head forward, narrowing his eyes to look in a direction.

He saw a large ship with furled sails bobbing up and down on the sea surface.

"Is that... Captain Drake's Golden Wild Hunt?"

Looking around, that was the only ship. Plus, Drake and the others couldn't have appeared here out of thin air. Takumi confirmed the identity of that ship almost instantly.

Takumi, who had never seen this kind of wooden ship up close, immediately became interested.

Just as he wanted to go over and take a look, he heard a rather loud roar from behind.

"Lads!!!"

"Today is a good day to set sail again. How long are you going to sleep!!"

Obviously, Drake was calling her little brothers to wake up.

Accompanied by the sound of "Bang! Bang!" slapping on the table.

"Ah?... What time is it now?"

"The sky just brightened..."

"So sleepy, can't we sleep a bit longer, Boss..."

"Yeah, we played until very late yesterday..."

Feeble voices rose one after another in the room.

"Get lost! Didn't you see even the rookie has woken up?"

"Especially those guys who kicked off their boots, hurry up and pack your things, prepare to set sail!"

While speaking, Drake was also packing her belongings. She probably couldn't stand the smell created by her little brothers either.

"The rookie is a rookie, different from us. We drank a lot of wine yesterday!"

The bushy-bearded pirate said aggrievedly.

"That's right, that's right. How much wine did the rookie drink? Yesterday he collapsed on the table and fell asleep after being forced to drink five or six cups. Not interesting at all."

The big-nosed pirate, who wanted to see the rookie make a fool of himself after getting drunk, said with a bored face.

"This rookie is just weak, couldn't handle it after just two sips, hahaha..."

A pirate lying on the ground muttered a mockery groggily.

I'm really sorry for having low alcohol tolerance!

Takumi, who heard everything everyone said, had black lines all over his forehead.

Actually, they should thank Takumi for being a good drunk. Otherwise, with Takumi's Servant stats, once he started a drunken rampage, probably no one could subdue him for a while.

Who knows what casualties would be caused then.

'My alcohol tolerance is indeed poor, but my memory is still pretty good. I clearly remember you guys pouring wine into boots, then holding the boots and chugging from them!'

Takumi complained secretly.

Speak of the devil.

"Damn! Who poured wine into my boot!!"

Hearing an angry curse from inside the house, the entire room instantly fell silent.

Dead memories began to attack everyone involved equally.

It lasted for a few seconds.

"Urgh——"

Uniform vomiting sounds rang out.

"Sigh, so I told you to drink less alcohol..."

Takumi didn't dare look inside the house; he just spread his hands helplessly outside.

Drake ran out of the house before the vomiting tide erupted inside.

"Stop acting like clowns in there! Come out quickly; drinking a bit of flavored wine won't kill anyone!"

As soon as she came out, Drake shouted inside gloatingly. The smile on her face showed no intention of hiding at all.

And responding to her were the vomiting sounds showing no sign of stopping.
