So many lytons were poured into the Sea of Worlds that they formed large clouds of gas in the void of the Sea of Worlds, roaming the large space between worlds.
In their egg state, the lytons were inactive. But once they reached a world with life energy, they would hatch and begin to grow.
In their hatched state, the lytons would become white tadpoles capable of living in the air, water, and in the ground. They were also capable of living in extremes of temperature such as glacial areas, volcanic areas, and down at the depth of the sea under intense pressure.
They could survive and thrive in practically any world they find themselves in. They were also docile grazers that feed on ambient energy in worlds.
Even a world without free life energy for living things to use will have a sun producing light. The light energy is good enough for them to feed on and grow.
