He believes that it is a matter of responsibility in that someone has to praise him for his work, and since he is the only one around who can do it, he has to do it.
So if there is anything to be proud of, it is the fact that he possesses the skill needed to tell how impressive the arrangement of the Curse Altar is. After all, not many people possess that skill.
He thought about this as he patted his back. Then he called the fat black worm over.
