Liliac woke up slowly, having rested on my lap as I sat on the forest floor.
"Good morning, sleep well?" I teased her, finding the entire situation amusing.
She blinked a few times, needing a moment before she finally recognised where she was and sat herself upright, almost knocking into me when she did so.
"Mo… Mortal God!! I… I apologise!! That was… That was terribly rude of me!!"
I wanted to point out this wasn't even the first time that happened but I figured that if I actually said that, she might actually get even more flustered and guilty so I held my tongue.
She quickly moved away from me like I was something too dangerous to touch or something, which I actually found a little amusing to see.
"Please forgive me, Divine One!" She cried out with a little more panic than necessary.
I chuckled, "It's alright, Liliac. I told you before you don't need to act like that in front of me, you know? I'm not going to eat you."
