"I think… It's quite close to a Rift Breakout stage already isn't it?" Kris asked, looking back at the portal while breathing hard.
Olivia nodded, her eyes never leaving the portal, "I thought we still had time but… At this stage, it might be closer than we thought… We might need to deal with this as quickly as possible."
I stretched my arms over my head and let out a groan, "Ughh… But I guess we have enough information about it, right? We should be able to assemble an assault force to deal with this?"
Olivia nodded, "It is at a perfect time as well, since it isn't public knowledge that you have laid claim to this island yet."
I blinked at her, "Why would that matter?"
"At the very least, if there were still spies and traitors here, they would not know that you would be setting up a base here and operate under the assumption that you will only be here for the rift and nothing more. Otherwise… They might try to sabotage or establish some kind of surveillance on the island."
