Chapter 3 - A Cowgirl

Ethan's mind was constantly occupied with new ideas, even as he continued approving various contracts on the side. He was truly pushing his brain to its limits.

He recalled the things he could foresee in the future. Naturally, there were many dishes, but he did not know their exact recipes. The best approach was still to research them himself.

Ethan thought to himself that starting tomorrow, he could lock himself in the kitchen at home to experiment. Robert would be able to handle everything else on his own.

Robert, who was working diligently, suddenly sneezed for no apparent reason. He rubbed his nose. The weather was not cold, yet today was truly full of strange occurrences.

Glancing at the clock, it was already time for Ethan to get off work. Robert quickly gathered everything and then left.

Of course, a perfect assistant also doubled as a driver.

Outsiders all said that Robert was Ethan's nanny. Robert did not mind at all. Aside from him, who else could tolerate Ethan's arrogant temperament?

Thinking this, Robert could not help recalling Ethan's attitude toward the girl that morning. Tsk, someone struck by love at first sight really did act differently.

Just then, the office door was suddenly knocked on. Ethan stood at the doorway, one hand in his trouser pocket, chin lifted slightly, eyes narrowed. "Are you planning to marry that desk?"

Robert: "…"

He let out a long sigh and quickly stood up.

Downstairs in front of the company building, Robert went to get the car, while Ethan stood off to the side.

At that moment, a cat's meow suddenly rang out. Ethan raised his eyes and looked over, only to see Lily walking toward him. In her arms, she was holding a grimy black cat. The stains had even dirtied Lily's pristine white blouse, yet she did not seem to care in the slightest.

Seeing that Ethan was also looking at her, she could not help but smile and quickened her steps. But as soon as she drew close to Ethan, she swayed as if about to fall.

Ethan reached out just in time to catch her.

The little cat in Lily's arms was exceptionally well-behaved. Even when meeting a stranger, it only let out a soft meow.

"Are you alright?" Ethan asked.

Lily shook her head and quickly straightened up, saying a little shyly, "I'm fine. I'm sorry…"

As she spoke, her gaze dropped slightly, looking somewhat insecure.

The light in Ethan's eyes was unreadable. He looked at Lily, then at the cat in her arms, and asked, "This cat is…"

Lily immediately said, "I saw it injured, lying in the bushes. I'm taking it to the vet."

Lily felt that someone like Ethan probably wouldn't understand what it meant to care about animals.

Just now, when she saw Ethan, she had only wanted to put on a bit of a show. But the cat was indeed something she had picked up by chance.

Yet Ethan said, "I'll take you there."

Lily could not help but lift her head in surprise, only to see Ethan lowering his gaze to look at her. His gold-colored eyes looked even more striking under the glow of the setting sun.

Lily was momentarily dazed. "Wouldn't that… be too much trouble for you?"

Just then, Robert had already driven the car over. Ethan took the lead and walked ahead, saying casually, "It's on the way. Let's go."

Lily looked at the car door that had already been opened for her, swallowed, and then got in.

Ethan closed the door and took the front passenger seat.

The curiosity in Robert's eyes was practically spilling out, his gaze darting back and forth.

Good heavens, Ethan had brought Lily into the car, and she was even holding an injured cat. Could Lily really be Ethan's type? Unbelievable!

Could the great demon king really have fallen for a pure, innocent girl?

"Focus. If you want to die, do it on your own."

Ethan's voice suddenly rang out right beside him, making Robert startle slightly, though he remained outwardly calm as if nothing had happened.

They took Lily to a nearby veterinary clinic. Lily thanked them repeatedly. Ethan said nothing, while Robert smiled and waved it off, indicating it was no problem.

Lily watched as the dark-colored car gradually disappeared from her sight. The cat in her arms let out a soft cry, the sound seeming to wake her from her thoughts.

She gently stroked its head and murmured, "Don't you think Ethan is scary either?"

The little cat meowed again, as if responding to her.

In just a single day, Lily felt as though she had seen a completely different side of Ethan from what she had imagined.

Just as she was about to enter the veterinary clinic, a familiar car suddenly sped past on the opposite side of the road. It was indeed Ethan's car.

Lily could not help but pause for a moment. Ethan had said it was on the way, but was that really the case?

She placed a hand over her chest, her eyes filled with contemplation.

By the time Robert drove Ethan home, the sky had already darkened.

Ethan's villa was located in a quiet residential area right in the city center, with complete amenities all around. Robert's own place was nearby as well.

As Ethan got out of the car, Robert suddenly leaned his head out of the window, grinning. His black hair fluttered in the wind, his dark eyes brimming with interest. "You were really strange today. Did you actually get struck by love at first sight with that girl?"

After getting off work, Robert began to reveal his true nature.

They had been classmates since middle school. Ethan's aggressiveness was always on full display, while Robert usually observed and judged quietly, then made things difficult from behind. There was a perfectly good reason they had become friends, and that was likely also part of the reason Robert could tolerate Ethan's temperament.

Ethan said nothing and simply walked up and pressed the button to close the window.

Ignoring Robert's curses from behind, Ethan strode into his house in high spirits.

At the very least, Robert's shouting had some effect. It felt as though Ethan had finally truly come back to life.

He cheerfully opened the door and went inside.

But the moment the door opened, Ethan could not help but stop.

He blinked, confirming that he had not gone to the wrong house.

But what on earth was the thing in front of him?!

A girl was kneeling right by the door. Her skin was a honey-brown shade, her body full and lush, looking incredibly soft. Especially where the cow-patterned stockings cinched tightly around her thighs, making the flesh spill out slightly.

She was wearing what was essentially a bikini-like outfit, barely managing to cover what needed to be covered. Her chest was huge, truly huge. Ethan had never seen anyone with such an ample bust before, yet it did not look ugly or deformed in the slightest.

The two small pieces of fabric covering her chest were clearly doing their absolute best not to snap.

What shocked Ethan even more was that atop her snow-white hair were a small horn and a pair of drooping dairy cow ears. They looked so real that it was as if they had actually grown from her head, not accessories clipped on.

Hearing the sound, she lifted her head. Her brown eyes immediately sparkled as she broke into a smile. Her gentle, pretty face looked obedient and sweet, yet no less alluring.

At the same time, Ethan noticed a tail swaying back and forth behind her.

It really was a cow's tail.

What the hell was going on?!

As if she could not see the astonishment on Ethan's face, the girl leaned forward slightly and said with a sincere smile, "Master, welcome home. Would you like to take a bath first, have dinner first, or… have me first?"

Ethan: "…"

Ethan: "!!!"

Ethan: "Who are you?"

Ethan instantly thought of countless scenarios this world might throw at him. Could it be that his awakening had been noticed by the Will of the World, and this was a trap? The moment he lost control and pounced, sirens would sound and the police would arrive to arrest him for sexual assault.

That charge would completely ruin Efood's reputation, knocking the villain off the stage without the male lead ever needing to lift a finger. Truly a masterful move.

Ethan looked at the full thighs before him and thought to himself that it was fortunate he still had a clear head.

That said, this girl really matched the kind of fantasies he used to have when reading manga. He had thought those designs only existed on paper. He never imagined he would see one in real life.

And on top of that, she was a cowgirl.

Ethan's gaze could not help but linger again on her ample chest, and he swallowed quietly.

As someone who had a fondness for demi-human girls, this was truly a trial for him. The Will of the World really did play dirty. He had to get rid of this girl as soon as possible.
