The scream of the general's wife ,lady Mei, echoed through the mansion as she struggled to give birth to their twins. The midwife's hand moved swiftly,but lady Mei's pain only intensified. Finally,after what seemed like eternity,the first twin emerged, followed closely by the second. The midwife help them up, crying out,"it's a boy! And another boy."
But their joy was short-lived. The sound of shattering and the clash of steel filled the air. Lady Mei's eyes widened in horror as she tired to reach for her children, but it was late. A stray arrow struck her,and she fell back ,she said to a maid Ah Ling who was close to her "Take the necklaces and placed it on their necks," her life slips away.
General Long , hearing the commotion, rushed into the room,his sword drawn "protect my family!" he roared to his guards with fierce determination, he fought off the assassins, his sword slicing through the darkness. But they were too numerous,and he was vastly outnumbered.
Despite his valiant efforts, General Long was gravely wounded. As he fell to his knees,he saw Lady Mei's lifeless body and his newly born sons, surrounded by the chaos, with his last ounce of strength,he whispered a final plea to his loyal maid ,Ah Ling ,who had managed to grab one of the twins and was trying to escape." Save.....my.....sons."
Ah Ling nodded tears streaming down her face ,and fled with one of the twins, fighting off the attackers on her way. Meanwhile, Another staff member,a trusted advisor to the general hid the other twin.
General Long's vision began to fade, and with one last look at his family,he succumbed to his wounds joining his wife in death.
A dark sect, lurking in the shadows, swooped in and took the other twin intended to raise him in darkness and malice.
