Chapter 1 - First Encounter

The month of June. Then, people walked around, around the city. It was a lot lively tonight. It was midnight as everyone darted around the clouds. You heard chatter, chatter, chatter, around the streets, and you hear a lot of people walking then out, shopping on the mall. As they kept going, you heard a ding as the door opened

And then the door opened. Ding! The old man came out. And he walked . "Tink, tink, tink." And he looked around. He was half blind. The other eye can see snow, but the other eye can see regular. He walked around. He just went past by a TV shop that was filled with signs that say, "Welcome. You are welcome to the TV shop".

The old man was walking through the place, filled with neon lights and traffic cars going vroom across him. There were sidewalks, overcrowded streets

He walked through the streets, getting closer and closer and closer to a dead end. His bag swing swish swish. And the sidewalk started to look rugged and old as he walked.

The old man's thoughts were strange. He was saying, It's pretty dark out here. Must have been pretty dark. Feels cold. He walks through the- Through the place, leading him to an alley, where no one goes. It was quite foggy, quiet. Historically quiet. The vibe felt eerie. You can sound, taste it, feel it.

The old man noticed something. Snow falled off in his half-eye. It fell slowly, slowly, and slowly. While the other eye, he saw darkness. Darkness and a fog. On the alleyway. It was very, very dark.

He said to himself, "Has it always been this cold before?" He felt it down his shivers. It felt cold. Very, very silent cold. Cold that you don't ordinarily feel in time, but frozen in time.

Meanwhile, the older brother was driving. He was driving with a slight "whoosh."The car was going slightly, around 50 km per hour. He went past by skyscrapers that were tall, with glass, signs with anime stuff. Tokyo was different.

The older brother was driving. He was fast. Faster than the old man can follow. And then he said, Hey. Hey. Be quiet. It's time. People are sleeping now. Meanwhile, he just stopped and waved and just drive back.

He thought to himself, the older brother, the old man seems kind of half-blind or half-deaf. I can see his eyes, as his head reflect his eyes with whitish and liquidy as water.

The older brother was driving in a dark narrow alley where the breeze was dark the cold fogs went like "shhhh" around and there was just a bricks on the side way. He drove around it.

The older brother was driving. Well, he was tired, and his eyes were droopy. And then there was crosswalks, traffic lights, and then the traffic light was on red. And the person who walked on the traffic lights, when it's his turn to go and walk, he seemed very lifeless, his eyes, like he has never seen sleep in ages.

The older brother said, "it makes sense why he's tired. He's been working too hard. He looks overworked". His voice was vented with Empathy

When the traffic lights went ding, green light, he drove in a slow manner, but perfect enough to keep the speed going.

As he thought about his mother and family and younger brother, he thought about a way to buy him a manga. He said to himself, "I might as well stop for a manga store just to see my brother's reaction".

The older brother looked at the phone on the map. He was 15km away, just close enough to get them close to the alleyway where the manga shop is.

He drew past a corner and turned right, where there were sidewalks with bricked houses with like roofs that were white.

People walk by chattering about like that new anime. "Have you seen the new anime? It's pretty good, right?" As they walk.

The other person agreed, "yeah it was pretty good, it had a pretty good romantic idea and comedic too".

The old brother drove past them as they both walked into the alleyway. There was a hand, a ghost hand, that felt anonymous, but yet slightly distraught. It felt the cold as quiet frozen in time, and garbage filled around the alley at dead end with bricks and bricks on the thing as the ghost hand came out. Both of them passed it without even seeing it. They could not even smell it. They could not hear it. They could not feel it.

The ghost's face came out. It had black eyes, black hair, and a dress that shines like a sun. It was floating around. The ground was gray. And then it went dash. And the glass fell off the garbage can and it cracked. And people walked around it. And they said, "what happened? Oh, it's just my head playing with things". And the people just walked away. And after that, the brother drove on the car that was a Subaru. And the ghost followed it. It felt intrigued by the car itself. So it went whoosh and hovered towards it.

The ghost glided as it followed him. He was gliding slower, and as the ghost was beside the glass near the frame of the car, he couldn't see her. All he could see is the other car and the red traffic lights, nothing else. The ghost was invisible, nearly too much invisible that he can only see the road and the people crossing by in a dark, specific night.

As the brother drove in the car, while the ghost was following him, the car bumped slightly down because of the yellow straight line that was a yellow circle, because it was a cylinder. And it was... pretty... A flashback when they hit it. The car has slowly bumped, like BUMP, and then went down normal and drive past it.

The ghost just saw his brother just looking at the wheel and looking at the world while glancing on each side to make sure there is there's no car coming and one car passed by and you wait and it went whoosh vroom and then after that you wait for the traffic lights to go green and then after that it went green and you drive straight forward as the ghost followed him and whoosh the crosswalks followed them as they drove by

As the older brother drove, he drove into a lane, and then after that he made a slight turn, went like steering the wheel slowly into the other way, and then after that they went straight, and then straight, and then slowly steer again to the pathway to the manga shop. As they got in, they steer left, and then he kept steering around until he found a spot, and then when he found a parkway, he kept steering and steering and steering until it perfectly fit, and he went slowly and slowly.

He slowly got off his seat, and then after that he unlocked the lock, and he went clink, and then after that he opened the thing, and then after the handle opened the car, and then he slowly got up and then slammed it lightly, slam, and then he walked on the streets. Leaves fall from the ground from the tree nearby. The manga shop looked like glasses with anime posters, and ceiling that's with lights on top, and silver, grey, metal, and glass windows, and glass door with a metal on it.

He slowly walked by the railings of where people park their bikes. And then after that, the wind flowed around him, straight, whoosh. And then after that, he walked slowly and got in. And he got in front of the door. And then after that, he opened it and the bell rang, like ding. And then he got in. And the store was filled up with sections of manga. Shonen manga, romance manga, and all types of manga. Generic, you can think of. Horror ones, too.

Then he checked as the ghost watched upside down a little glass window that was shaped like a triangle. The female ghost put her hands on there, watching him flipping through the manga selection with flip flip checking for books that interest him. His face was with sunglasses and black hair, in a suitcase, in a suit. He didn't seem interested. His face was raised eyebrow.

Then the brother looked tired and then he walked away. He walked to the shopkeeper and then the ghost then went through the triangle window and then followed him. Her light glowed and then as she was behind him, there was a couple of mongas behind gels and it was at the romance area and when the shop owner saw it, his eyes grew wider and wider and he was biting his nail kind of fast. It kept repeating. His eyes were wide and he looked like he has seen something extraordinary.

Then after that, he said to the shopkeeper, "Have you seen the aromance section"? And then the shopkeeper nodded his face fast, his smile twitching as he tried to act nice, as the ghost behind him had white eyes and black hair flying up like snakes.

Then he went to the romance section and then looked at them. There were a couple of books around the romance section. He flipped through them, flip, flip, flip, as the shelves were covered. And then after that, he saw one that caught his eye. It says, "Romance Between a Boy and a Female Ghost. They first meet in the window, in Volume 1. And the boy was the younger brother".

The brother's thoughts shifted, and then there was his brother trembling as he saw the books. His face was turning into a slow grin, and he said, he shouted, "YAY!" in excitement. And that was his younger brother, and that brought him unimaginable warmth, the older brother, as he thought about this. He closed his eyes and smiled.

Then he had a happy sigh. And like, heh heh, heh heh, he he. And after that, he laughed. Like, louder. Ha ha ha ha.

Then he bounced happily and then he thought of a My brother is going to be happy when he sees this book I brought him He then walked Like clink clink clink Around the Floor That was That had patterns like box shapes and white

Then he went on the shop owners where he does the cashier thing and then says "that would be 1,200 yen for that book" and then after that the older brothers said happily "I'll take it" and then the shop owner says "yeah" in a nervous smile as he saw the ghost behind him

He then after that take it home happily and dash out of the shop and then got into his key and then locked the door and sat down and went ding locked and then the door was locked and he turned out and then he turned straight and then went straight to the home passing by forests that were clearly foggy and dusty with trees green stuff on it and the ghost followed them as they passed by farms, fields, fields, cities, until one house that looked like like a wooden like a wooden shrine that had upstairs glass windows and a door that opens sideways but beside that shrine it was that their home a normal house they walked he walked in the door was brown and then he did the password ding ding and then it was unlocked and he opened it slowly it went crack and then after that he closed it

Then her mother came in and rushed with speed, and he hugged him, and then she greeted him happily. " Welcome home Takeshi my son"

Then he said to his mother, "Yeah, I know, work is hard, right? It's been a long while since I saw my father. I've been working hours for like, One week trip, Around Japan".

A quick flashback came, he was at work around Shibuya, he was working like a day and night shift, where his eyes were tired, he was working on the office, he was slowly saying to himself, man this is hard, in a very exhausted voice, but like, very tired.

He worked hard on the job, effortlessly, untiringly. Nights passed, days, weeks, almost until one week. And then finally, his boss said, "You may now have a break".

The flashback quickly ends, and then after that, he said this to his mother. Yeah, that's how- that's how my job worked, so I was kind of getting worried about my family, so... I'm going to stop by and say hi. This is my full break, so I might as well sleep.

Then the older brother said, Yeah, it's time to see your mom. Then he walks upstairs, and then he knocks on the brother's door. The door was brownish, and with a knob. And then after that, the brother said, Who is it? And then he said, It's me, your brother. And then he said, Come in.

Afterwards, the brother opened it, and then he said, Hello. Takeshi

His room was filled with dozens of manga, and he had a PC where he worked with his art and stuff. He seemed really passionate, his room seemed really passionate in manga, and the tables were filled with anime figures, Gundams, and blue lights, and the light is the candle that lights up this room. And the older brother is on the front door, and the younger brother is sitting on the chair that is a gaming chair.

The moment that it was quiet, the older brother stared. It was the moment of time. Both of the each other looked at each other. At the younger brother says, it seems like he's giving me something. And then that the other older brother says in his head, yeah, I am giving you something. The manga was tucked in his pocket. They stared at each other for a long time, only for a minute, slowly.

He slowly grabbed his hand and reached into his pocket, and then he slowly, slowly showed the book. And when the brother saw it, his eyes lit up like a blazing fire in excitement. He instantly, swift, swapped it out of his hand. He was that excited.

And then the younger brother said, Wow! Thank you very much! I never expected I would get this much from you.

He then flipped the pages instantly, but his brother tapped on him in the shoulder, and he said, Not yet, you gotta eat first, before you can read your manga.

Then his younger brother said, Fine, I might as well eat. They both quietly walked down. The stairs were very tap, tap, tap. And they walked down to the kitchen, where their mother was working on the food. Miso soup and rice. The miso soup was almost ready. It was sizzling, sizzle, sizzle, sizzle, sizzle, sizzle, as the table was beside them. Chairs. He waited patiently at the chair as he sat down. He thought to himself, I'm excited to read the manga. I wonder what it's about.

He thought to himself, it would be a horror one, where the ghosts will haunt him forever. But his other brother who saw this thought it would be a romance with the ghosts, which was the actual answer of the story.

The younger brother kept thinking about this story while he was eating chomp chomp chomp, he thought the ghost will soon appear in the window but and then bash bash bash and then the protagonist will soon have to face a life or death situation as he thought about this story. And he thought about the idea that would be lovely.

The older brother's perspective thing. The answer is that, in his head, they will soon meet in the window. The ghost will smile very big, as it will show that the ghost is actually going to be his soulmate. He then thinks about them holding hands, talking to each other, like real friends, and real emotional friends.

The older brother waited as he ate the food. He kept reading the newspaper about the current events about one person got knocked out in the brawl fight in the city, and then he looked closer. It was as June 14th. Oh, he said, that's a day ago. He reflected. That guy must have been hurt. Kinda feel bad for him.

He said to himself, it's pretty easy to get hurt, sometimes very badly, in the streets, anywhere, but it's always good to be careful, he thought to himself.

The older brother went to the mother and said, he must be really eating well, as they quietly said this, and then the mother said, yeah, he's eating pretty well. Most of the time he spends his time reading manga. A thought of him, just a flashback of him reading manga endlessly for like 4 hours each time as he go to his flip pages and pages. He spent hours re-reading his manga and stuff that he loved.

His older brother says, Yeah, he's pretty dedicated to manga. Makes sense. He's been a big fan since he was six. A flashback of him. His older brother thought to himself. As he saw this flashback, he gave him a first comic book. It was about a hero who saved everyone. And once he read it, he became addicted when he was a kid. He kept spending hours finishing a hundred volumes.

As they watched the younger brother eating, the mother said, Are you almost done? Hiroshi

Hiroshi Was almost finished and done he kept he ate half of it was done. He was on the table that was brown and slightly Slightly dark brown he then wait For the food to finish he went chomp chomp chomp chomp chomp. He looked calm and he was finishing it

He reflected, saying to himself, I am almost done. I have waited for this long. It's been pretty well, he said in an innocent voice that carried a rhythm of warmth. He kept thinking about how he would finish it. He then grabbed one more bite of the miso soup slowly, slowly, and slowly, as he ate the noodles. He thought about how to finish the manga, and how it would be finished. It would be a horror, or would it be a trilogy, or a thriller.

He looked around the glass window. He felt a fog. He felt its fog. The fog was going outside. He was shocked, saying, why is it so foggy outside, to himself. He looked outside. He noticed something. A visual that showed a slight shadow of a hand. He then looked at it while he was eating. Then he said, it's just in my mind. It's just my head. He said, I guess sometimes there's places ghosts can be haunting sometimes. He then looked at it, and then it, whoosh, disappeared.

He then after that finished the food and then he then walked slowly. He then paused, reflecting of what he saw. A shadowy hand that never stopped looking at him. The hand was a woman filled with glowing aura. It was on his head that was plain. It felt crispy cold. The crisp that never sends a breeze. A breeze that will never stop. The breeze that can shook anyone into a core. Send them to shivers.

He walked upstairs, looking down at the stairs that were five steps away, but that thought never stopped lingering around him. It felt as if the thought was getting increased. He never stalled or anything, he just wanted to get up faster because when he thought about the hand again, it sent shivers down his spine, a shiver that he can never stop remembering. He can feel it, he can sense it, he can sense what that thing is. It's not human, it's not alive or anything.

He then went upstairs as he opened the door. He went crack. He then looked at his room and jumped on his bed, and then he thought about the manga itself. His voice sounded excited, saying, I must read this manga. He felt so happy that he could immediately finish the volume. A single volume won't feel great enough for him. He needs the whole entire series to finish one. His excitement, his abitions

He kept reading, and then after that, he read the first panels. It said, the girl ghost was standing in the window, and then suddenly a fog came. And... After that, a quiet came out of the room. Very, very quiet. Every time became quiet. As the ghost blew out instantly. He was in the dark. He tried to run into the door, but it was locked. He couldn't get out. In the mangz he fead

The candle wasn't working anymore. It was a lamp. He couldn't turn it on. And then after that, he thought to himself, How is this supposed to happen? How am I going to see in the dark? And then the manga blew it out of his hand. And then the window kept bashing, bashing, bashing. As he felt the fear and anxiety rising, spikes through his heart. It was beating fast.

Fog came out the window. It kept spreading like wildfire. He can feel the coldness coursing through the veins of his heart, finally feeling the heart clicking by a pulse, feeling like it's about to jump out. In his heart, he stands there, stepping back, extensively.

Afterwards, the fog was going under his shelves as the shelves became to twitch, twitch, twitch around. He can feel the atmosphere change. The sky grew blue as he felt his head like wavered. He could not stand what he's seeing. He saw his eyes were widening. It was an extraordinary experience. He can feel the dread in his heart.

He watched as this all unfolded of him. He said, I thought it was going to be a normal book. Not some horror thing. He looked around. Lights became... Nothing. He could barely see anything. All he could see is the dead light of the darkness. The stars. The sky. The fog. All he felt was dread.

The room started to rumble, rumble, rumble, rumble, as the time get closer, then something bashed the window, but it didn't break, it was like knocking through the window, it kept knocking, bash, bash, bash, bash, bash, bash, it kept going through, and over, and over, and over, until he can feel that there's someone there, not alone.

Then after that, a hand wiped the fog into a head's shy fog. He saw a pale hand shining through the darkness, and then his eyes were wide. As he started to bite his lips, he stood back and then stand and watch in fear. The thing kept going. The fog intensified even more. The shells were covered. No longer could he see the shell. All he could see was the hand standing there in front of him.

And after that, the head slammed into the window with a shock. Glasses started to creak from the impact. It didn't break, but once you saw the head of the girl, her eyes were emotionless, but her hair was black. Her smile grew red, white enough to shock him to the core, through his bones. He didn't look at her. He felt the fear intensifying as a fire.

He stood there, his eyes widening, his mouth twitching from the impact. He said to himself, No one should stand near her. No one should be near her. She is not human. She is a monster. I would rather run from her instead of staying here. He tried to run, but he can't. His body couldn't budge. He said, Move! Move! Why can't I move? Why am I stuck here?

The ghost looked at him, saying, Why is she scared of me? I'm not trying to be scary, she said to herself, while reflecting in shock of how scary she is. So she made her smile widening, but it still scared him to a cork. He still backed off. He said, This is not right. I should run. I should run.

Why should I stay here with a freak like that? He said to himself. Why should I? Why should I? Why should I? Why should I? He kept thinking over and over. He said to himself, this ghost should leave me alone. They say in tales, if you say leave me alone, it will leave you alone. But he was too afraid to speak this out loud.

Afterwards, he said, I hope you make it to the Elves for life. But the ghost felt offended. It started to smash the window instantly, shooking him down. He stumbled and fell on his back. He looked confused. Why is it affected? It should be resting right now.

But... He said he smiled high. But then the ghost's smile grew wider. It grew so wide that it shook him. And then the glass broke. Instantly. And then after that, the glass was broken. And then... He knew that he's not turning back from this. He closed his eyes. Well, he was afraid that it would happen. But then the candles and everything went back on. The fog was soon nowhere to be seen again.

Meanwhile, the mom was downstairs, and then she heard the commotion, and she was shocked about what she heard, so she walked slowly and ran upstairs. He ran so quickly that he heard a dash, dash, dash, all the way from down the basement, and then she said, And then she said, And then when she saw the window, she was shocked of what she saw. She said, Oh my, what happened here? Who did this?

Then, he said, Mom, he lied just to cover up the ghost that she did it. He said, I did it. I didn't mean to, Mom. I'm the one who did. As he looked down, he felt uncertain of her reaction, but felt guilt that he did it just to show his empathy towards the ghost. He knew that he would be in trouble, but he unwillingly took it anyway.

He said, I'm sorry mom, I won't do it again, next time. He looked at her, he spoke it with sincerity, and then he said to his mother, how would I pay for it? I'll save up and fix the glass, I'll make sure it's fixed up so you don't need to deal with it no more. He then fidgeted with his thumbs.

His mother said, it's okay, as long as you acknowledge it. I know it's you. It won't make me mad, but thank you for your concerns. She looked at him happily that she told him that he told her the truth, heard the truth.

And then the mother said something. She said, In order to repay me, you must do every chore in the house. In the house. Then the younger... Then he said, Okay, I'll do it. I'll make sure every chore is done. Tomorrow.

The mother is thinking about him. He's such a kind son. He knows how to say sorry. He knows how to acknowledge that he's done wrong as she thought about this. She smiled at him.

As I talked about this... Her voice trembled. The ghost, meanwhile as they talk, the ghost was watching them. Slowly, as the clock disappeared, she made herself invisible. So, she said to herself, Why did I do that? I shouldn't have done that. I feel bad for Hiroshi. As her voice trembled.

That boy is too kind for me, she said to the ghost. He has a kind heart. I should not do that. She said that in a vulnerable voice. That she looked at the boy, who probably knew he was in trouble. He still went through the pain.

The ghost was shocked of what the boy just did. She knew his name, but she didn't like what she did. All she could think of is how to make up with the boy, how to make him happy, how to approach him because of her or what, but with guilt, that's what she did to the window.

She kept contemplating on how to approach him, so she watched him as the lights turned off, and then he saw him reading his book again, but she didn't do anything this time. She just waited and just watched him quietly. As she stared, he was reading his manga. He loved it, but he didn't expect it. He went like, ah, I see, it's a romance anime.

He kept reading the manga, and the manga, he see, Ah, so, they meet in the window, but on the next day, they meet somewhere else. Ah, I see. But, what makes sense is that I didn't expect it to be a romance, I expected it to be a horror. I think I got the title wrong, I should ask my older brother.

He began to read, and read, and then he went to sleep. He went to sleep in sound. He went to bed. And then he covered the blanket filled with his favorite manga hero. And then he slept. He slept. He was in deep sleep. And then he was excited for tomorrow and what he's going to do.
