Elias squatted down to eye level, intently watching the apologetic look on Alex's face. After looking for a long time, he chuckled softly.
"Not going to work?"
Alex looked at the wall clock and blinked.
"Then let's eat first, shall we?" Elias smiled and stood up. "Go fetch the milk."
Alex nodded repeatedly, running swiftly to the milk box in the yard to bring back today's milk bottle.
The morning incident was gently glossed over, but this also made Alex realize that there existed a huge hidden danger in the way he and Elias lived together.
