Glen's words made a lot of sense. Since he was acting, he had to play the role to the end. Alex stood up from the sofa and followed Glen back to his house.
The living room on the first floor of Glen's house was much messier than Alex's house. Grimoires and newspapers were thrown about everywhere. There was no one there, but Alex astutely remembered that behind the giant oak wardrobe in the corner of the room was a hidden door, leading to some secret space.
Glen immediately noticed the young man's gaze lingering on the oak wardrobe a bit too long. He coughed dryly to draw attention. "That secret room is protected by my magic array. I will sense anyone who enters, so do not let your curiosity control you."
Alex shrugged, pretending not to care. He walked straight into the guest bedroom and lay down on the soft mattress. "I'm going to sleep. When you leave, remember to close the door tightly for me, thanks."
