In Dune City, there were a few famous bustling commercial streets; among them, the street in the east of the city was the most famous for luxury goods and magnificent mansions.
It was near the Steel Cross district, the gathering place of the rich and nobles in Dune City.
The architectural buildings there all had characteristic Gothic pointed domes; the outer walls were carved with exquisite patterns. At night, lights shone as bright as day, and music from balls often echoed out to the street.
Alex had heard of this place from Wood, the wealthy man who often hired him for odd jobs. He also knew that Wood lived there in a house as big as a castle surrounded by a glossy black iron fence.
That place was too expensive, far beyond his ability to pay. Alex wanted to go to another street, not far from the location of his new house, where the average prices were more affordable, suitable for the ordinary working class.
