Jasmine again heard a short mocking laugh ringing out from the sky, the sound piercing and full of contempt.
The Gryphon, which was originally about to touch the horse's back, seemed to change its mind midway. Its wings flapped forcefully downwards to create momentum, and its heavy yet agile giant body suddenly soared high back into the sky.
The sword tips of the brave knights who had drawn and swung their longswords had not even touched the Gryphon's claws before seeing its silhouette return safely high above, just like how it was flying in circles time and time again earlier, seemingly intentionally playing with and mocking the poor, slow strength of this group of people.
Viscount Herbert seemed to have long anticipated this stalemated situation. He sighed and shook his head, helplessly saying to Jasmine: "It is exactly like this. The movements of these Gryphons are too agile and cunning, and they have the aerial advantage; we absolutely cannot touch them."
