The handwriting was shaky and inconsistent. Some letters were unnaturally large, while others were small and cramped, as if the writer had been nervous. In some areas, the ink had smudged because the pen lingered too long on the paper. It was clear this letter was written by a child.
Majong unfolded the letter carefully. It read:
---
Dear Arian Majong, the Great Founder of the Majong Clan,
If you're reading this letter, then I've succeeded in bringing you here, and the ritual I performed worked!
First, let me introduce myself. My name is Nick Majong. I am the youngest son of Thaseus Majong, who is one of your many descendant of yours. I used to be the owner of the body you now inhabit, and I should tell you that you are no longer living in your own time. You've jumped ahead by three hundred years!
Though I can't say for sure what the Netherlands was like back in your day, I believe it hasn't changed too much. It's still a rough place, filled with criminals and chaos. It consists of thirteen exiled cities, each ruled by a leader known as an Anarch, who could be a gang leader, a pirate, or a clever thief.
The World Government still looks down on us here. They treat us like we're not even human, enforcing strict laws that keep us from sailing on the oceans or entering their so-called 'Pillar Countries.' Their presence is weak, as they fear the creatures that inhabit our land, which is why they don't invest in strongholds here.
Interestingly, I've heard stories that your generation once fought against the World Government. Many doubt that it really happened, but I believe it did. It must have been thrilling to be part of such legendary battles. Only someone as mighty as you could have participated in that. I refuse to believe it's just a myth!
I apologize for rambling. I've always admired your generation and your heroic deeds. Now, you might be wondering how I managed to summon you and why I did it. I used a special ritual called soul anchoring during my transformation, or what I call mutation. I assume someone of your stature is familiar with that concept. I learned it from my teacher, Dorius Gray, who is a wise old man skilled in magic. He is excited to meet you, and I believe he will find you when the time is right.
Now, as for why I summoned you—there are many reasons. Simply put, my teacher need your help with problems that only someone like you can resolve.
I know this may seem a lot to take in, but I assure you there are good reasons for his actions. The world we live in now is still troubled, much like it was in your time. The Anarchs are ruling, and their chaotic reign has led to crime and suffering.
But that's not the worst of it. The World Government remains a threat to us, especially to Majong City. They have been trying to bring us down for a long time and may soon succeed.
I'm not sure how much you've learned since taking over my body, but I suspect not a lot. So, let me share what I know. Majong City is on the verge of collapse. My family, which has historically led the city, has recently lost its power. This downfall followed the unexpected death of my great-grandfather, who was the Anarch of the city.
While many say he died of old age, my family knows differently. He was assassinated, and we believe the other Anarchs were involved. Now, you may wonder why this matter is related to the World Government since it was another Anarch who did the deed. The reason is that this Anarch works for the World Government.
This information isn't widely known, but I believe only my family and the old man, Dorius, are aware of it. The Anarch of the Twelfth City, called Vapor, leads a gang and used to be a powerful agent for the World Government. You understand how dangerous such a person can be, as you once fought many like him.
According to my teacher's research, I believe this former agent has been assigned several tasks in our territories.

And most of it inviolves gathering relics of the Smiley Gang, l believe this matter is of utmost importance.
They are also targeting any lineage left behind by the members of the Smiley Gang, so now you can understand why they are mainly targeting the Majong City and the Majong Gang to be more precise.
You Great Arian Majong, are a symbol of hope and defiance. Stories of your bravery and leadership inspire those of us living in this dark time. I believe with your strength and wisdom, you could lead us once again. Your past victories could give people the courage they need to stand up and fight for a better future.
But first, before you even decide to take action, you must first regain your strength and understand the changes that have occurred. There are many things to learn about the advances in technology, society, and the dangers that lurk around every corner.
As for your strength, regaining your former abilities is not possible as your Skill Relic Card is currently in a dangerous place.
Luckily for you that's why performed the Ascension ritual.
The level one mutant rat l used as the core of the ritual, is sort of special and will gift your mutation great powers.
The rat is a special breed mutant, being the only one of your kind. And also it posses special powers one similar to awakened human. One can even say that the mutant itself is awakened well then l guess that would mean it's not a mutant.
Anyways the rat will grant you three special abilities according to what my teacher told.
l hope this information will be of great use to you.
I believe in you, Arian. I believe you can guide us to a future where we no longer live in fear, where we can restore our people's honor and reclaim what has been lost.
Yours in hope,
I look forward to your thoughts, and I hope to see you soon!
Nick Majong
Silence filled the room.
Majong lowered the letter slowly and for a long moment, he didn't move.
Torrents of varying emotions were swirling in his chest coupled by countless questions.
Be it the self awareness, the kid Nick had, the sudden turnout of events, and the sudden divulge of knowledge regarding the Smiley Gang.
Then there was the last words of the letter.
'I look forward to your thoughts, and I hope to see you soon!'
What did that mean. Didn't this kid die. So what was this about him looking forward to meet Majong.
All of this didn't make any sense.
