Ningyan stood in the void again. Endless darkness stretched in every direction, broken only by a single source of light.
The large blue crystal floated silently before him.
It was shaped like a massive shard of frozen flame, glowing faintly as it drifted in the emptiness.
Beneath Ningyan's feet, a soft white-gold light spread across the darkness like a small island of radiance.
"Not this again." He stared up at the crystal warily.
Slowly, he raised his hand. Then he touched it.
The moment his fingers brushed the surface, the world shattered.
Suddenly Ningyan was no longer in the void.
He was standing in the lower district again.
Bodies of innocent beasts lay scattered across the ground.
Blood stained the streets. And standing in the center of it all, was himself.
Ningyan's eyes widened in shock.
He stared at the other version of himself in complete disbelief. "Is… is that me?"
The figure before him looked terrifying.
