Yan Wuyin gritted his teeth. "I am family. And family advises each other. You were supposed to get engaged to—"
"Ugh." Wuhen groaned, rubbing his face lazily. "Stop. What is it with all of you and your advice? Do I look like someone who listens?"
Yan Wuyin stared at him, furious. "Wuhen..."
"Only my mother gets to advise me," Wuhen continued, utterly unbothered. "And I listen to her because she never questions my actions."
Yan Wuyin snapped with disbelief. "Are you kidding me?!"
Taking that as his cue, Ningyan turned to leave.
He had barely turned when Yan Wuhen tilted his head. Their eyes met.
Ningyan's heart skipped.
Wuhen broke into a wide smile.
Yan Wuyin followed his line of sight. The moment his blood-red fox eyes landed on Ningyan, his expression darkened.
"That's him?"
"Leave, Yan'er," Wuhen said calmly, not looking away from Wuyin. "He'll be gone before you return."
Ningyan hesitated, then nodded. But Wuyin was still glaring.
