Seraphina returned on a Tuesday, three days after the message, in the late morning when the territory was fully awake and going about its business.
Ashina was in the Luna's court when Petra appeared in the doorway with the look that meant something she was waiting for had happened. She finished the conversation she was in the middle of, a pack member named Gwen who had a dispute with her neighbor about a shared boundary marker that had been moved, possibly accidentally, possibly not. She resolved it with the directness that she had found worked better than diplomacy for boundary disputes, a clear ruling and a clear process for appeal if either party disagreed, and thanked Gwen for bringing it formally rather than letting it fester.
Then she went to meet Seraphina.
