Chapter 1
Rose was just an ordinary girl from a middle class balckground she grow up with a present absent father she was always home with her mother Linda.
Rose was a fair rare beauty praised by many though she lived most of her life with her mother trying her best to feed both her and her father John.
John was a contract worker who is always away from home and whenever he get back he always expects to see food which Linda has spend her money preparing.
Linda would always say to rose.rose my daughter please do not marry a man like your father rose would hug her mother tightly as tears roll down her cheeks rose promised her mother.
On one faithful day John came home expecting to see food just as he always do but that very day Linda was sick and too weak to cook.
John demanded to eat but Linda couldn't make anything she was too weak John got furious and left the house up on seeing the scene rose felt pity for her mother she promised her self she would never marry a man like her father.
Linda would sit and wonder how did John turned out this way he used to be the best man every girl wanted him then what changed where did they become so distant and why is John treating her the was he does but she could not find answer she loved John so much love that she would do anything for him she was ready to sacrifice herself for him she would think of their youthful self when John would bring flowers and sing for her begging her to love him back how her was a wonderful man how he would hold her hand and kiss her when she was not even looking how john used to make her laugh John change after rose was born
Linda wondered to her self was she looking bad?
Is she too fat,too ugly or she was looking bad herself Linda began to question her body with every chance she get just to get closure
Rose looked at her mother and then she vowed never to love any man.
John rarely noticed the silence he left behind all he wanted to was to make sure food was on the table whenever he comes home.
sometimes he would come home drunk and weak while Linda would still care for him John was very proud of himself he treated her like a tool his tone was harsh his silence was loud John never apologized he just wanted Linda to adjust to his new self Linda never complained to him about how he has changed because she doesn't want to be away from him she loved him so much rose could see her mother silent tears but they was both she could do about it she was young all she could do is to comfort her money when she need it and prayed for her.
