Jiaoying woke up naturally when dawn peeked through her curtains.
Before she even opened her eyes, she noticed that her bed was missing a certain occupant. The warmth that she had started to become accustomed to was not present.
She sat up slowly, rubbing the grit out of her eyes before glancing at the sleeping body in her bed.
Yari did everything gracefully with little effort. Even sleeping.
Her uncovered form lay perfectly still as her chest rose and fell softly. In comparison, Jiaoying felt as though she slept like a wild animal.
Moving ever so cautiously, she planted a kiss on the Yari's head and on the top of her back.
Basking in the moment for a bit, she then quietly began to slip out of bed to wash up.
"I thought you were going to do more than that."
Jiaoying froze in her tracks.
"Good morning to you too… I thought you were asleep."
Yari rolled over and sat up. "I've been up for a while… Couldn't really sleep when I noticed Bear was missing."
