Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Tony is Attacked and Captain America is on a Date

"Ding, a white lie can sometimes heal a person's heart. Reward: an unlimited upgraded motorcycle with parking space."

Huh? That's possible too?

I'm Captain America—the embodiment of justice! A model of morality! How could I lie?

You have to pay more!

"Hey, is Peggy okay?" Steve picked up the champagne and took a small sip, his expression slightly melancholic.

"My aunt is fine. She's old, but she's lived a very comfortable life," Sharon said with a small smile, looking amused.

Her aunt often spoke about Steve, making Captain America her idol.

"Good. I've read the S.H.I.E.L.D. files. Peggy was deeply involved in its creation. She lived a full life—adventures, challenges, highs and lows—

and proved herself just as capable as any man. In the end, she got married and had children. That's truly wonderful."

Steve looked a little sad, but then put on a sunny smile. "Peggy was my friend and my guide. Her death… it was the best outcome for her.

She also taught me to look forward. I don't belong to this era, but I've appeared in it. I must adapt and move forward."

Sharon was speechless, though thankfully only in words.

Seeing Steve's solemn expression, she instinctively hugged him.

"Captain, you're right. We should look forward. How about I take you to see her when we get back to New York?"

An old woman? A real old woman?

Okay, let's meet her.

As a stand-in for Captain America, Steve didn't feel much for Peggy, but he had to perform well. Life was like a play—you couldn't help it!

Ah yes, yes… discuss inheritance matters with Hill, and don't mention spending the night with Pepper!

"By the way, what do you do now?" Steve asked, not pushing Sharon away but enjoying her closeness.

Sharon blushed slightly. "I just finished my CIA training and now work at S.H.I.E.L.D."

Nothing strange about that. With Peggy as her aunt, joining S.H.I.E.L.D. through connections was natural.

The pay was better, the authority higher, and the prospects brighter than being a member of parliament.

"Then we'll have plenty of chances to meet in the future." Steve smiled. Experience from the second round helped him know how to handle this.

Sharon's admiration was pure, like a little lamb encountering a big, strong wolf.

"I work in a clerical position," Sharon said, blinking shyly. "It's almost noon—how about we have lunch together?"

Invited on her own initiative? Oh my, this is a counterattack!

"Ding, mission completed. Reward: infinitely upgraded motorcycle."

Steve sensed a strange space connected to him. Inside was an off-road motorcycle, identical to the one he rode in Captain America 2.

Infinitely Upgradeable Motorcycle: unlimited fuel, repairs automatically after 24 hours of damage, upgrades possible through quests.

Cool! Unlimited fuel and self-repair? Already an unexpected bonus.

"Of course, I just learned a magic trick. Want to see it?" Steve said excitedly—good things deserved to be shown off.

"Okay!" Sharon's eyes were fixed on him, curious and unblinking. This man was so charming; no wonder her aunt liked him.

Steve pulled out a huge tarpaulin, squeezed it in his hands, and said, "Ready?"

Sharon nodded, hands clasped, full fangirl curiosity.

Crash!

Steve silently chanted the summoning, then dramatically whipped off the tarp. "Change!"

A brand-new off-road motorcycle appeared, sleek and dynamic, with wide sand tires for extra grip.

Two seats allowed a passenger; the seats were retractable for single-rider combat use.

This motorcycle was just cool.

Mecha is a man's romance; motorcycles are a man's pursuit.

Steve mounted the bike, vibranium shield secured behind him, and waved at Sharon. "Get in, beautiful. I'll take you for a ride!"

"Okay!" Sharon's surprise turned into excitement. Before she could think, she was climbing aboard. Who could resist romance?

She nestled against Steve, arms around his waist, head resting on the shield, smiling contentedly.

Twisting the throttle, the motorcycle roared out of the experimental site.

A few minutes later…

Rhodes received an urgent message.

"What? Lost signal? Damn it! Send a helicopter to search immediately!"

When he tried to reach Steve, he learned the captain was out racing with General Orem's daughter.

Rhodes was baffled. Captain, we're on a mission—why are you picking up girls in the middle of it?

Just an hour ago, Tony's Humvee convoy had been attacked.

All escorting American soldiers were killed, and the three escort vehicles had gone up in flames.

When Rhodes arrived, Tony was missing, and the soldiers' bodies were scattered across the ground. Panicked, he called Captain America again.

Steve and Sharon were having lunch at that moment, feeding each other and deepening their connection.

"Hello? I see. I'll be there right away." Steve set down the phone, looked apologetically at Sharon, and said.

"Something happened. Tony's convoy was attacked, and he's missing. I need to go check on him. Let's meet up another time. Sorry."

Sharon shook her head, understanding. "It's okay. The mission is important. If you need my help, let me know. Go ahead. We have plenty of time for a date later."

Being able to have lunch and a ride with your idol was something no girl could refuse.

If her colleagues knew she was dating Captain America, they'd be envious to the point of madness. Legendary figures always carry that aura!
