'A week later….'
One of my friends was throwing a small party in regards to her birthday and I had to attend.
A few elites were invited and on my arrival, I became the center of attention.
I was suddenly pulled to a corner by a few of them as they gathered around me and began questioning me.
"Is it true?"
I frowned at the first lady to question me but before I could respond, the other one quickly chipped in.
"The Duke's son came to woo you?"
I blinked and the third lady added hers.
"How pathetic can he be to still have the guts to do that after all the rejections? Who would want to be with him? He isn't even a man as I have heard."
I froze as my gaze stayed on her because I was speechless and that was when the fourth lady spoke.
"Is it true that he cried in front of you? I heard he wept like a lady, pleading with you to marry him. Is that true?"
I blinked rapidly as I looked at all of them in alarm.
What?
How did they know any of this?
