The Leonard watched in silence as Kael continued. Brokk's Hammer could not provide materials from nothing, so wherever pieces were missing entirely, Kael had to improvise. He pulled metal from the remains of an unusable railing and used the hammer to reshape it into replacement brackets. He then removed a length of reinforced wood from a collapsed ammunition rack, cut it down, and fitted it into the fractured firing arm.
The work was not effortless. Repairing Yenna's armor had been comparatively simple because the item had still possessed all its important parts. Brokk's Hammer had only needed to remind those parts of their proper form.
The ballista was closer to a corpse that had been left in the rain for several decades.
Still, it could be restored.
