The handsome young master slowly raised his hand and retrieved a very special item from his storage ring. It was a red string.
The string looked ordinary at first glance, thin and delicate like something used by mortals for decoration. Yet faint crimson light flowed across its surface like blood vessels pulsing with life.
Ancient runes occasionally flickered upon it before disappearing again.
Old Xi's eyes narrowed slightly the moment he saw it.
"So you brought that treasure with you," the old man muttered.
The young master did not reply immediately. He merely held one end of the red string between his fingers while allowing the other end to drift freely in the air.
Strangely enough, the loose end slowly floated toward a particular direction as though guided by an invisible force. It stretched endlessly toward the horizon. Toward somewhere unimaginably far away.
The handsome young master stared quietly at the direction it pointed toward, his eyes growing complicated.
