Rai's fingernails dug deep into the hard plane of Zade's back, searching for purchase as the sheer violence of their motion threatened to throw him entirely out of his skin.
The sting of it, the frantic, instinctive rake of short nails drawing red welts across muscle, was completely lost on Zade. It was lost on Rai, too, whose whole world had dissolved into an unbearable, white-hot vibration.
His skull rattled from the inside out. Every jarring thrust sent his vision swimming, the background of the bedroom blurring into streaks of dim light and chaotic shadow.
He was drowning in the rhythm, entirely at the mercy of Zade. Being tossed around, his body shifting inches across the sheets with every brutal impact, made him feel dangerously unmoored.
The only thing keeping him attached to the bed was the wild, reckless grip he had on Zade's shoulders, but it wasn't enough to stop the sense of freefall.
