Surprisingly, Rai wasn't all that bothered or mad about what happened.
Not that it didn't affect him at all, but processing it felt much simpler than he had anticipated. It probably helped that he didn't actually know Julian.
Honestly, it made sense why Julian saw him that way; even according to Zade, that was just how Rai came across to everyone at their school, distant, sharp, and a bit difficult to approach.
Still, Rai kept a mental note to ask Zade if he knew the guy. He wanted to figure out if Julian held some personal grudge against him or if their paths had ever crossed before. Because if not, why else would Julian be so blatantly forward in trying to get close to him?
However, as Rai settled back into his work routine, his focus quickly shifted. Zade sent a text, pulling Rai into a quick back-and-forth that lasted about half an hour.
