Again, Rai woke up first.
He slipped into the exact same morning routine he had done in the past.
He spent a meticulous twenty minutes of just sitting on the edge of his bed, staring blankly into space while trying to figure things out and assemble his scattered thoughts.
Once that was over, he spent another five minutes doing nothing but staring at the bastard before he finally mustered the energy to begin his day.
To be completely honest, he wasn't even mad anymore. He had thought about forcing himself to stay angry, holding onto that sharp edge as a shield, but he simply couldn't manage it today. Exhaustion had chipped away at his indignation.
At this point, he just had to admit it to himself: his anger toward Zade had dropped almost by half.
