Rory was sipping her juice when she suddenly noticed Nix was gone.
"Where's Nix?" she asked.
"Mommy, Daddy Nix went to the vault to pick out some energy stones. He'll be back in a minute," Terry answered.
Rory nodded. "Then we'll wait for him to get back before we head home."
Nix was gone for over half an hour. When he returned, he couldn't wipe the massive grin off his face.
"Rory!" He rushed straight to her side and held out a pink energy stone for her to see. "Look at the energy stone I found! Isn't it beautiful?"
It was a dreamy, translucent pink stone, and it looked absolutely stunning.
"It's beautiful," Rory agreed, nodding.
She could also feel a very powerful energy radiating from it.
Nix said excitedly, "Rory, once we get back to the Central District, I'm going to use this to build you a gorgeous pink mecha."
"All right, I'll hold you to that," Rory replied with a smile.
