Nix looked completely bewildered.
"I didn't do anything!"
He felt genuinely wronged.
Yuel was usually one of the most even-tempered people among them. If he was suddenly angry, there had to be a reason.
But what had Nix done to upset him?
Rory thought for a moment before asking, "Think carefully. Have you done anything recently that involved Yuel?"
Nix lowered his head and seriously considered it.
After a while, he answered hesitantly, "Could it be because I told my lab to move his orders farther back in the queue?"
Other than that, he honestly couldn't think of anything.
Seeing the nervous look on his face, Rory gently patted his back.
"Don't be scared. I'll go with you."
She didn't think Yuel was angry over an order.
Whatever Nix had done, it had clearly annoyed him.
Still, she doubted Yuel would actually punish him. At most, he'd probably scold him a little.
"No, it's okay."
Nix immediately shook his head.
"I'll go by myself."
