After Rory finished dinner, Nix still hadn't completed his preparations.
She waited in the living room for a while, but when he still didn't come out, she went back to her own room to take a shower and change into something fresh. Only then did she head toward Nix's room.
His door wasn't shut—just slightly ajar.
Curiosity flickered in her chest. What exactly had he done to redecorate?
She reached out and gently pushed the door open.
Inside, the room had already been fully arranged.
Nix, however, was in the walk-in closet, trying on outfits.
All of them were new—things he had bought over the past two days. There were all kinds of styles.
"Which one would Rory like the most?"
A heap of rejected clothes lay piled on a nearby rack.
Tonight was their first time bonding. He had to make sure she was happy.
What if she found him lacking? What if she grew dissatisfied with him later?
