"Me?" Kibito was startled.
"If not you, then me?" Old Supreme Kai snapped impatiently.
"I was just asking!" Kibito muttered.
"Then hurry and take Gohan to the Other World!"
"Understood!" Kibito stepped forward and placed his hand on Gohan's shoulder.
In an instant, they vanished.
They reappeared inside a strange barrier filled with candy-like structures.
A green-skinned warrior wearing a white martial arts uniform was battling a massive, round, yellow monster.
The warrior was Pikkon.
The monster was Janemba, the source of the chaos in the Other World.
"I'll leave the rest to you!" Kibito disappeared immediately.
"He sure runs fast," Gohan looked ahead just as Janemba swatted Pikkon into the ground.
Without hesitation, Gohan condensed purple Destruction energy in his palm and hurled it forward.
Janemba shifted aside, narrowly avoiding the blast.
The explosion shook the entire barrier.
Gohan instantly appeared in front of Janemba and fired another Destruction blast at close range.
This time, Janemba was struck directly.
His enormous body shrank rapidly, compressing inward.
Moments later, a new figure emerged.
Janemba's second form stood tall with orange-red skin, pointed ears, black eyes with yellow irises, light purple armor, curved horns, and a lizard-like tail.
"So you transformed," Gohan rushed forward.
Janemba laughed wickedly and spat out a green energy beam.
Gohan sidestepped and countered with a powerful kick to Janemba's face.
Janemba staggered.
Gohan pressed the attack, forcing Janemba back with relentless strikes.
Boom!!
Janemba was knocked to the ground.
Gohan raised his hand again, unleashing another wave of Destruction energy.
The purple explosion engulfed Janemba.
He screamed as his body tore apart.
When the smoke cleared, a small demon lay trembling on the ground.
It was the worker who had been corrupted by the soul-cleansing machine's explosion.
The demon tried to flee, but Gohan observed the surroundings instead.
The barrier remained intact.
On the Sacred World of the Kais, East Supreme Kai frowned.
"Why hasn't the barrier collapsed?"
"It should have."
Old Supreme Kai stroked his beard.
"Maybe Gohan can destroy it directly."
Gohan raised his finger and condensed a massive sphere of Destruction energy.
He hurled it into the barrier.
Boom!!
The explosion tore through the structure, creating a massive purple storm.
Before it engulfed them, Gohan teleported Pikkon and the small demon to the Kaioshin Realm.
Moments later, the barrier shattered completely.
The small demon trembled.
"I'm sorry! I shouldn't have been listening to music while working. I forgot to replace the soul-cleansing tank!"
Old Supreme Kai snorted.
"Work properly from now on, or I'll tell King Yemma to cut your pay."
"Yes!"
With the crisis resolved, Gohan teleported back to Earth.
King Yemma regained control of the Other World and recalled all the escaped souls.
Using the Dragon Balls, Goku and the others revived the innocent victims.
Peace returned once again.
Two months later.
Summer vacation.
Gohan and the others were having a barbecue by a waterfall on Mount Paozu.
"Master, here's your grilled fish!"
"Thanks."
Gohan accepted it.
Lagss tilted her head.
"Master, what's the special occasion?"
Gohan glanced at Videl beside him.
"There's something we need to tell you. Don't get angry."
Lagss's gaze shifted to Videl.
"What is it?"
Videl took a deep breath.
"Gohan and I are together."
Lagss froze.
"Together?"
"Yes. We've been dating for three months."
Lagss felt as if struck by lightning.
Three months?
Right under her nose?
That meant Videl had gone from junior disciple to Master's Wife.
"Lagss?"
Videl called gently.
Lagss suddenly blurted out,
"Master, I want to be with you too!"
