Goku smiled, "Isn't there still half of the prize money left?"
Chi-Chi heard him and didn't even bother replying.
For someone like Goku, who never cared about money, saying anything would be pointless.
After settling the bill, Goku and the others left the restaurant.
Since it was already late, Krillin and the others stayed overnight at Goku's house.
Time flew by, and five days passed in the blink of an eye.
Today was the day the Androids were supposed to appear.
Early in the morning, Krillin and the others arrived in West City to meet up with Goku and the rest, preparing to search for the Androids together.
However, what Goku and the others didn't know was that Dr. Gero had no intention of appearing at all.
Android 19 was completely out of his control.
Although Dr. Gero was confident in his own strength, he had no desire to risk his life recklessly. After all, he only had one life.
Just before ten o'clock, Goku and the others arrived at the location Trunks had mentioned.
However, there were simply too many small islands in the surrounding sea.
They couldn't determine which island Android 17 and Android 18 would appear on, so they had no choice but to split up.
"Goku, there are too many small islands here. I think we should divide our forces," Krillin said.
"As soon as one of us finds those two Androids, we'll immediately raise our ki to its highest level. That way, the others will sense it and rush over to support!"
"Okay," Goku nodded.
"But just to be safe, let's move in pairs. Krillin, you go with Yamcha. Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu can form another group. As for Piccolo, Gohan, and me—we'll each act independently."
"Alright," Krillin agreed.
With that, the seven of them immediately flew off in different directions, searching the nearby islands.
After a long while, everyone regrouped.
"Goku, did you find anything?" Krillin asked.
"No," Goku shook his head. "Nothing at all."
"So none of you found the Androids either?" Yamcha asked.
"That's right."
"Do you think Trunks' appearance changed history?" Yamcha continued.
"Maybe those two Androids were never created?"
"I don't know," Krillin shook his head.
"But even if Android 17 and Android 18 don't exist anymore, Dr. Gero will definitely create other Androids to get revenge on Goku."
"Makes sense," Yamcha nodded.
Just then, a powerful presence approached from the distance.
A figure flew in rapidly.
It was Vegeta.
"Vegeta!"
As soon as he arrived, Vegeta stopped in front of Goku.
"Kakarot," Vegeta said coldly. "Where are those two Androids?"
Goku scratched the back of his head.
"We don't know either."
"Don't know?"
"That's right. They didn't appear here like Trunks said they would."
"They didn't appear…"
Goku nodded.
Vegeta suddenly smiled.
"In that case… how about we fight?"
"Fight?" Goku looked at him.
"That's right. Compared to defeating some Androids, I'd rather defeat you."
Goku glanced at Gohan beside him, then nodded.
"Alright."
A faint smile immediately appeared on Vegeta's face.
He turned and flew toward a deserted island nearby.
Goku followed, with Gohan and the others landing some distance away to watch.
"Kakarot, what do you think of this place?" Vegeta asked.
"It's fine," Goku replied.
Vegeta clenched his fists.
"I've been waiting for this day for a long time."
"You've been waiting… for a long time?"
"That's right," Vegeta said coldly, "As a Saiyan, I was a genius from birth. Before I met you and your son, I had absolute confidence in my strength.
But when I came to Earth… and lost to your low-class warrior son, I lost everything—my pride, my dignity! I must prove that I'm stronger than you!"
"I see," Goku said with a faint smile.
To him, a loss was simply a loss, and a win was a win. He never overthought it.
Seeing that smile made Vegeta grind his teeth in rage. That expression felt like mockery.
"Enough talk!" Vegeta shouted. "Let's begin, Kakarot!"
"Okay," Goku raised his fists and took a fighting stance.
Vegeta rushed forward instantly.
Goku charged as well.
Whoosh—!
Bang! Bang! Bang!!
The two clashed violently, fists colliding at blinding speed. A massive cloud of dust exploded upward.
Bang!!
With a heavy punch, Goku was smashed into the ground.
Vegeta seized the opening and stomped down with his right foot.
Goku rolled aside, slammed his hand against the ground, and sprang back to his feet.
Vegeta snorted coldly and clenched his fists tightly.
"Ha!"
A terrifying surge of ki erupted from his body.
The ground shook violently as rocks and sand flew into the air.
Krillin's eyes widened.
"Don't tell me…!"
Before he could finish speaking, Vegeta's hair turned golden, his eyes became light green, and a blazing golden aura wrapped around his body.
Super Saiyan.
"It really is Super Saiyan!" Krillin exclaimed.
Piccolo clenched his fists, frustration burning in his chest.
Once, his strength hadn't been far behind Goku's.
But now, with Super Saiyan, the gap had become enormous.
"Super Saiyan, huh…" Goku muttered.
He clenched his fists—and transformed as well.
Vegeta moved like lightning, launching himself forward.
Goku met him head-on.
Whoosh—!
Boom! Boom! Boom!!
Their battle intensified, fists and kicks crashing together at terrifying speed.
Dust and shockwaves tore across the island.
"Ha!"
Vegeta roared and landed a heavy punch, sending Goku flying backward.
Goku slammed his feet into the ground, panting heavily.
Watching closely, Piccolo frowned.
"What's going on…?" he muttered.
"Goku clearly hasn't used much stamina yet… so why is he breathing like that?"
