Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Lookout

Gohan shifted his body slightly to the side, calmly dodging the attack.

Yamcha's eyes widened. He immediately raised his right leg and kicked toward Gohan.

Bang!

Gohan lifted his left arm and blocked the kick head-on.

"Damn it!"

Yamcha gritted his teeth and retreated quickly.

Gohan watched him quietly, his expression calm and composed.

At that moment, the Guardian of Earth slowly walked out from a room on the Lookout, leaning on his staff.

"Kami!"

Seeing this, Mr. Popo immediately stepped forward to support him.

"Is that Goku's son… Gohan?"

Kami looked at the boy and asked.

"Yes, Kami."

"Ha!"

Suddenly, Yamcha roared and charged again, rushing toward Gohan like a wolf.

In an instant, he reached him, his hands moving like claws as he attacked repeatedly.

This was the New Wolf Fang Fist, an upgraded version of the Wolf Fang Fist.

Whoosh—

Swish, swish!

Facing the flurry of attacks, Gohan continued to evade effortlessly.

"No… Yamcha can't hit him at all!"

Tien analyzed the situation calmly.

"Yeah," Krillin said in amazement. "I never thought Goku's son would be this strong—and he's only five years old. Saiyans really are a terrifying warrior race."

Tien nodded.

Just then, Gohan exerted force with his right hand and sent Yamcha flying several hundred meters away.

Bang!

Yamcha landed on one knee, his right hand bracing against the ground, sweat pouring down his face.

"Son of Goku… but I won't give up that easily!"

He slowly stood up.

Piccolo watched silently.

If Gohan hadn't held back just now, Yamcha would already be unconscious.

This kid is still too soft-hearted, Piccolo thought.

At that moment, Yamcha grabbed his right wrist with his left hand and condensed Ki into his right palm. A blue energy sphere formed instantly.

Gohan tilted his body and dodged.

Yamcha then raised his palm upward, and the blue energy sphere shot into the sky.

"Spirit Ball!"

Gohan instantly recognized the technique from Yamcha's hand movements.

Whoosh!

Under Yamcha's control, the Spirit Ball curved through the air and attacked Gohan again.

Gohan stood completely still.

The blue energy sphere passed straight through his body.

"Afterimage!"

Krillin exclaimed in shock.

"Damn it!"

Yamcha clenched his teeth, a deep sense of helplessness welling up inside him.

Gohan's strength was overwhelming—so much so that Yamcha couldn't even force him to move.

Whoosh!

In the next instant, Gohan appeared in front of Yamcha and punched him straight to the ground.

"Yamcha!"

"I—I'm fine…"

Yamcha struggled to stand.

Then, to everyone's shock, Gohan copied Yamcha's stance and condensed a blue energy sphere in his palm.

"S-Spirit Ball?!"

Tien was stunned.

He hadn't expected Gohan to learn the technique after seeing it only once.

Before anyone could react, Gohan threw the Spirit Ball and guided it with his palm, sending it flying back and forth above the Lookout.

"Explode."

With a soft command, the Spirit Ball detonated.

Boom!

A massive cloud of smoke and flame blossomed in the sky.

"This… this Spirit Ball—why is it so powerful?!"

Yamcha was shocked.

It was his technique, so he knew its limits.

Is it because his strength is that much greater than mine?

At that moment, a small blue-furred cat flew over from the distance.

It was Puar.

He had been with Yajirobe at Korin Tower earlier and didn't know Piccolo and the others had arrived.

Soon after, Yajirobe climbed down from the tower.

"Master Yamcha!"

"Puar!"

"Master Yamcha, what happened? Did something happen just now?"

"Nothing. I just sparred with Gohan."

"Gohan?"

Puar immediately looked at him.

"So he's Goku's son!"

"Mhm."

Yamcha nodded.

"Goku's son?!"

Yajirobe walked over.

"This kid really looks like Goku when he was young."

"Uncle Krillin, who is he?"

"That's your dad's friend, Yajirobe."

"Uncle Yajirobe."

Yajirobe nodded.

"So… who won that sparring match?"

"Gohan did," Krillin answered.

"W-What?! Gohan is already that strong?!"

Yajirobe was stunned.

His strength wasn't much different from Yamcha's—if Yamcha lost, then he probably wouldn't stand a chance either.

"Yeah," Krillin said excitedly. "Gohan is the strongest among us now. Even Piccolo isn't his match!"

Piccolo shot him a sideways glance.

Krillin immediately felt a chill run down his spine.

"E-Even Piccolo isn't his match?!"

Yajirobe was completely shocked.

Krillin nodded.

"Um, Uncle Krillin, can I ask you a favor?"

"What is it, Gohan?"

"Can you ask Aunt Bulma to make me a 100x gravity chamber?"

"A—A hundred times gravity?!"

Everyone froze.

"Yeah."

"Gohan, do you know how heavy that is?"

Krillin asked.

"I do. It's one hundred times my body weight."

"If you weigh about 20 kilograms, then 100x gravity is two tons!"

"Oh?"

Piccolo laughed.

"Baldy, just do what the kid says."

"I'm not a baldy! My name is Krillin!"

"Then I'll call you Krillin the Baldy!"

Piccolo laughed loudly.

"Damn it!"

Krillin clenched his fists.

"Uncle Piccolo, even though Uncle Krillin is bald, I still hope you'll call him by his name."

"…"

Krillin was speechless.

Can we please not keep mentioning the word 'bald'…

"F-Fine."

Piccolo nodded.

"Piccolo actually listened to Gohan…"

Yamcha muttered in shock.

Piccolo shot him a cold glare.

Yamcha immediately covered his mouth.

After all, King Piccolo had once killed many of them—fear still lingered deep in their hearts.
