After walking through the town, Teigu was led to a large building.
Inside he saw a rather luxurious setting: bear pelts were on the floor, exquisite woodsmanship could be seen everywhere and warriors walked through the hall, all busy with various things.
When they saw the Fortress Chief, like those outside, they would hit their chest with their palm and greet him before moving on.
The fortress chief walked to the end of the hall where there was a large table.
Teigu saw a map on the table –
It was a strategic map detailing the whole region around this fortress.
There were a few markings on the side leading to the inner region, but Teigu couldn't make anything of it.
What he did see though were several circles outside the hidden barrier. He saw many of them, a total of fourteen.
Looking at them, then at the fortress and finally comparing his own memories with the terrain, he was roughly able to guess their distance.
