The moment I stepped through into the portal, I felt like my whole body was wrapped in a thin gooey membrane, and with my eyes being forced shut, I felt like thousands of spiders began crawling all over my skin.
I tried to immediately fling them off with a bit of my energy, but I quickly realized that this weird gooey membrane was keeping my energy from escaping outside of my body.
So I had to endure my disgust, despite my stomach churning and vomit traveling up my throat. Eventually, the disgusting sensation passed, and when it did, I abruptly opened my eyes.
Alongside the faint whispers and words I couldn't make out, the strong stench of roses immediately filled my nose, confusing me greatly. Not to mention, despite the disgust I had felt just a few seconds ago, I couldn't help but be left in awe at the sight ahead.
