Chapter 76 - 100K AUM

"In the minimum tier, we had seventeen investors. Their combined investments totaled seventeen thousand five hundred yuan."

Lin Feng raised his eyebrows.

"Above that is the low tier - two thousand to five thousand yuan. Here we had eleven investors, with a total of thirty-one thousand five hundred yuan. The average investment was around three thousand."

Yu Shen swiped to the next page.

"Then there's the medium tier - five thousand to ten thousand yuan. Five investors, totaling thirty-eight thousand five hundred yuan. Average of about seven thousand each."

He looked up.

"And finally, the high tier - ten thousand to fifty thousand yuan. We had two investors here, with a combined total of twenty-two thousand five hundred yuan."

He set down his phone and stared at Lin Feng.

"Do you know what that all adds up to?"

Lin Feng did the math in his head.

"Around a hundred and ten thousand yuan?"

Yu Shen grabbed Lin Feng by the shoulders and shook him.

"Exactly! One hundred and ten thousand yuan! From a single stream! Do you understand how much that is?!"

Lin Feng raised his hands.

"Relax, relax. I understand."

Yu Shen released him and took a deep breath, composing himself.

"Ahem. Sorry."

He straightened his shirt.

"Anyway, that's just the start."

His expression grew more serious.

"If these new investors see good returns over the coming days, word will spread. Word of mouth is powerful - people trust recommendations from friends more than any advertisement."

He paused and glanced at Lin Feng.

"But still...having an initial large pool to do the word of mouth is good"

Lin Feng waited.

"What I'm trying to say is - if we can get another round of investors at least similar to this one, from maybe a sponsor stream or two more..."

Lin Feng nodded.

"I had the same thought, actually."

Yu Shen's eyes lit up.

"Though I wasn't entirely sure about it at first," Lin Feng continued. "But what I was thinking was - we sponsor Moon Fairy for a week straight."

Yu Shen leaned in.

"Based on the statistics of unique viewers and accounting for those who will tune out the ad after hearing it repeatedly, I estimated that a week is probably the limit for effective conversion. After that, diminishing returns kick in hard."

Yu Shen nodded vigorously.

"That's a great idea! A full week of exposure would maximize our reach before ad fatigue sets in. After that, the initial investors will already be seeing the benefits and word of mouth will begin spreading."

Lin Feng held up a hand.

"It's just..."

He hesitated.

"If we keep sponsoring for a week straight, and we keep splitting the cost at two thousand five hundred yuan each..."

He looked at Yu Shen.

"Your personal investment money would be practically nonexistent by the end of the week. Isn't that a loss for you?"

Yu Shen looked at him like he had said something ridiculous.

"What loss?"

He shrugged.

"What does my personal money matter? As long as we have investors, the company has money. That's just my personal investment shrinking relative to the pool - but the pool itself is growing."

He smiled.

"The pie is getting bigger. Who cares if my slice is proportionally smaller?"

Lin Feng studied him for a moment.

This guy...

"Well, okay then."

He leaned back.

"I'll talk to Moon Fairy."

The studio apartment.

Su Yue had just finished changing and walked over to stand next to Lin Feng.

He looked up from his laptop.

"Remember when I told you about the rebranding?" he asked.

Her eyes immediately lit up.

"Ah, that reminds me - you never told me what it was."

She leaned in closer.

"Tell me now."

Lin Feng smiled.

"Actually, it's part of a new thing I'm working on."

He turned his laptop screen toward her.

"Look at this."

She leaned in to see.

It was his manager's account messages inbox.

There were lots of messages, hundreds of them.

"These are offers from different agencies," he explained. "Talent scouts, management companies, entertainment firms - all reaching out."

He scrolled through the list.

"You're quite attractive as a talent to these agencies."

Su Yue's eyes widened.

"Really?"

She scanned through the names - some she recognized, others she didn't.

"What are the benefits of joining an agency?" she asked.

"Well, there are many," Lin Feng said. "Resources, connections, training, exposure..."

He turned away the laptop.

"But I wouldn't recommend you join any of them."

She looked at him, confused.

"Actually," he continued, "if you can believe it - I'm opening up my own agency."

Her mouth fell open slightly.

"The registration is currently in progress."

He looked at her.

"What do you think about joining it?"

"It's definitely a yes from me," she said without hesitation.

Lin Feng held up a hand.

"Calm down. I'll bring over the contract first so you can go through it properly."

He decided not to mention the idol part just yet. He would let it be a surprise.

Now that he thought about it, maybe he should split the agency into two departments - a streaming department and an idol department. That way, the structure would be cleaner.

He decided to run this through Mengqi later.

Speaking of…

"Actually," he said, "as part of this rebrand, there will be a few changes."

Su Yue tilted her head.

"You don't have to worry - most of them are positive."

He leaned back in his chair.

"Part of it is that you're going to have a personal coach. Someone who will guide you through multiple aspects of the industry."

"Personal coach?" Su Yue looked surprised.

"That's right," he said. "I've already hired her."

Well, not technically. But he was getting to it.

"Don't worry," he added reassuringly. "She's very good at what she does."

"Her?" Su Yue muttered quietly.

Lin Feng glanced at her.

"Is something wrong?"

"Uh, nothing," she said quickly, shaking her head.

Lin Feng studied her for a moment.

"Ah, I almost forgot."

He checked the time on his phone.

"It's time for the stream. We'll talk more about this later."

He gestured toward her setup.

"Get ready."

"Okay," she said, moving to her position.

She picked up the microphone and adjusted her outfit one last time.

She looked at Lin Feng.

He raised his hand and gestured with his fingers.
