Scarlett Aurora Whitmore came to New York City with big dreams of becoming an artist. Armed with the address of an agency given to her by her stepsister, she left her hometown without knowing that the address was fake and the agency was known as a place full of traps. Her first day in the capital turns into a nightmare when Scarlett falls victim to a pickpocket and loses everything.

In a state of despair, fate brought her together with Grandma Victoria Caldwell, a kind-hearted grandmother who almost lost her life when she was crossing the road. Without hesitation, Scarlett saved Grandma Victoria from a speeding car.
