The sky over the Isle of Skye had just bruised into a deep crimson-orange when Julian Caldwell ordered his private pilot to ready the family's Gulfstream G650. He didn't care about tomorrow's shooting schedule. He didn't care about the multi-million dollar penalties looming if the producers discovered he had abandoned the set without leave.
His mind held only one name: Scarlett. And one destination: Green Garden.
"Sir, we'll be fighting heavy headwinds over the Atlantic. The flight to New York will take about eight hours. If you intend to be back by tomorrow afternoon for filming, you'll only have five hours on the ground," the pilot reported, his tone laced with concern as Julian strode into the cabin, his breath ragged.
"Just do it," Julian snapped, cutting him off. "Take off now. I don't need a lecture on logistics."
