The silence inside Julian's luxury car didn't last long after the news broke that William Sterling had landed at JFK. Julian Caldwell wasn't the type to sit around waiting for a storm to hit. He was the storm.
"Jason, get Jane on the line. Now," Julian commanded, his voice brook no argument.
"Sir, it is 2:00 AM. Biologically speaking, Jane is likely in a deep state of REM sleep. Waking her now will decrease her friendliness levels toward us by 95% tomorrow morning," Jason reported, eyes fixed on the road.
"Just do it."
Two minutes later, Jane's raspy, furious voice crackled through the car speakers. "Julian Caldwell! If this isn't about the apocalypse or JTC Management going bankrupt, I swear I'm sending you my entire therapy bill!"
