Scarlett Aurora Whitmore came to New York City with big dreams of becoming an artist. Armed with the address of an agency given to her by her stepsister, she left her hometown without knowing that the address was fake and the agency was known as a place full of traps. Her first day in the capital turns into a nightmare when Scarlett falls victim to a pickpocket and loses everything.

In a state of despair, fate brought her together with Grandma Victoria Caldwell, a kind-hearted grandmother who almost lost her life when she was crossing the road. Without hesitation, Scarlett saved Grandma Victoria from a speeding car. As a return for the favor, Grandma Victoria takes Scarlett to her house which turns out to belong to her grandson Julian Theodore Caldwell,  a famous superstar who has secretly been Scarlett's idol for a long time.

Feeling like she owes her life, Grandma Victoria makes a big decision: to match Scarlett with Julian. An arranged marriage born of gratitude and belief that fate has chosen the right woman for his grandson.

However, marriage is never easy. Julian's heart is still tied to Selena, the beautiful actress and model he once loved. Selena is a woman who rejects marriage for the sake of her career, until she finally regrets it when Julian actually marries Scarlett. Selena's presence again shakes the household which has never had time to find warmth.

Amidst the glare of cameras, gossip, and past wounds, Scarlett must survive as a wife who is loved by fate, but has not yet been completely chosen by his heart. 

Meanwhile Julian is caught between old regrets and new feelings that are slowly growing.

The remnants of Selena's whispers still lingered like soot staining the air inside the studio. Scarlett stood frozen in the middle of the bustling crew, who had suddenly become very diligent in fixing cables and adjusting reflectors. They were all experts at pretending to be deaf, but Scarlett knew their ears had caught the sparks from the earlier confrontation.


She steadied her breathing, trying to calm the pounding of her heart that was still fueled by adrenaline beneath her skin. In the corner of the room, Selena stood tall, sipping her black coffee with deadly elegance. Her gray eyes never left Scarlett, as if dissecting every inch of the defenses the girl had just built.


"Alright, everyone! We start in five minutes!" the photographer shouted, trying to break the stiffness.


"Who just turned on the dry ice without permission? Why does it suddenly feel so frozen in here?"
