Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Striking Decisively, Rescuing the Young Woman

Whoosh! Whoosh!

The cold wind howled sharply through the street.

George listened carefully for a long moment, but didn't hear anything unusual.

Before he could ask a question, the young man beside him suddenly dashed forward like a shadow.

"Hey, wait for me!"

George shouted hurriedly and broke into a run.

However, the distance between them only kept widening.

Meanwhile—

At a nearby intersection.

A woman wearing a thick down jacket was being forcibly dragged toward an alley by two Rowdy men.

"Help—hel—mmph!"

The woman screamed in terror before her mouth was tightly covered.

In the freezing winter night, most people were hiding in the warmth of their homes.

This secluded path was completely deserted.

"Mmmph…"

The woman knew that once she was dragged into the alley, it would be completely over.

But held tightly by two large men, she had no strength to resist.

Tears streamed down her terrified face as despair flooded her heart.

She swore—

As long as someone could save her, she would do anything.

"Holy crap, I didn't notice earlier—this woman's actually quite good-looking, and her figure is explosive."

"Today is really a lucky day."

The two Rowdy men exchanged glances and laughed.

Their hearts were filled with excitement.

Who would've thought?

They casually robbed some money and could even get a woman along the way.

Perfect!

The two of them pulled hard together, directly tearing open the woman's down jacket.

The peaks wrapped beneath her brown sweater instantly captured their attention.

"Excuse me for interrupting your lewd fantasies. Please release this lady."

An indifferent voice suddenly rang out.

The two Rowdy men turned around in alarm.

When they saw the Eastern-looking youth standing there, the panic on their faces immediately disappeared.

They spat fiercely and spoke with vicious expressions.

"You damned beast, you yellow pig—are you looking for death?"

"If you don't want to die, get lost, or you'll regret it."

"Heh." Lynn chuckled and pulled out his police ID, shaking it lightly.

"I suggest you behave."

"Big brother, this guy's a cop… what should we do?"

"Fuck, such a beautiful woman—you won't see many like her in your whole life."

"He's alone… and there's no surveillance here…"

The two whispered among themselves, fierce light flashing in their eyes.

Needless to say, they had already made their decision.

They released the woman and grabbed an iron rod from the side.

With sinister smiles, they charged straight at Lynn.

The woman, who had thought she was saved, screamed in fright.

"Be careful! They're going to attack!"

"You damned bitch, still daring to warn him? You'll get what's coming to you later."

"You damned yellow monkey—if you've got the guts, don't run!"

The two Rowdy men's expressions twisted as they rushed forward.

If this police officer escaped, they would be finished.

Lynn's lips curled into a cold smile.

Attack?

That was exactly what he was waiting for.

The reason he hadn't pulled out his gun to scare them away—

Was because he wanted to test how strong he had become.

Free sandbags—why not use them?

With the enhancement of his mental power, the movements of the two men appeared incredibly slow.

Lynn took a deep breath.

Then punched out.

Crack!

The sound of bones shattering echoed sharply.

The Rowdy man's eyes widened as he was launched backward like a cannonball, smashing heavily onto the ground.

Pfft!

His chest caved in as he spat out large mouthfuls of blood.

Clearly, he wasn't going to survive.

The other Rowdy man with a buzz cut froze completely.

Clang!

The iron rod slipped from his hand and hit the ground.

Despite the winter cold, sweat poured down his face.

Lynn didn't hesitate.

He swept out with a brutal whip kick.

He genuinely disliked Rowdy people.

Ten percent of New York's crime and rapists were caused by Rowdy people.

And these two had even dared to attack him.

They truly deserved it.

Bang!

The buzz-cut Rowdy man was sent flying as well.

Before dying, his eyes were wide open.

He couldn't understand—

Why the thin-looking young man before him was so terrifyingly strong.

One punch.

One kick.

The fight was over.

"Trash people. Battle scum." Lynn sneered.

He turned to the woman lying on the ground, her expression blank with shock.

She was a woman nearing thirty, still charming and attractive.

Her skin was well maintained, her figure graceful.

Brown hair spilled over her pretty face.

Paired with her pitiful expression, she looked especially alluring.

"Hello, ma'am. It's safe now."

The coldness on Lynn's face faded, replaced by a smile as bright as sunlight.

"Thank you… thank you…"

The woman's heart finally calmed.

Perhaps it was because of his police identity—

Or perhaps it was that warm smile.

"My name is Mei."

Lynn raised an eyebrow.

Aunt May?

No—why was she so young?

"Do you have a nephew named Peter?"

"Yes… how did you know?" Mei asked in confusion.

"I live in Queens too. I've seen him before."

Lynn made up an excuse on the spot.

Inside, he felt quietly pleased.

He never expected that casually saving someone would turn out to be Mei.

Still—

He'd never heard of Mei experiencing something like this.

But the Marvel world contained countless timelines and parallel planes.

A small deviation was nothing unusual.

Lynn rubbed his chin and didn't dwell on it.

Getting close to Mei meant he could meet Peter Parker.

He wondered what benefits that world-famous protagonist might bring him.

"L-Lynn… nothing happened, right?"

In the distance, George came running over, panting heavily.

Then he saw the two Rowdy men lying on the ground.

His pupils instantly shrank.

"You did this?"

"Don't look so shocked. It's Dragon Country kung fu."

Lynn paused before continuing calmly.

"Besides, they struck first. It was self-defense."

"Ms. Mei can testify."

George walked closer, his eyes narrowing.

After a moment of silence, he spoke solemnly.

"Come with me."
