Chapter 4 - BLUE WALL

heard that Aly close her eyes and shake her head.

"Screw us...."

"Why???" Cody asked innocently.

"The notebook had a dragon drawn in it, right?"

"Because there's a dragon outside!"

"Huh? What do you mean? Dragons don't exist in this world-only in fairy tales-"

Charlotte didn't get to finish her sentence before the dragon smashed through the roof of their house.

"The hell..." Charlotte fell silent, her mouth agape.

"We should run, right Char..."

"Indeed..."

The dragon breathed fire onto the town.

"WHERE ARE YOU?! DIRTY LITTLE WITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!"

the dragon roared firmly and furiously.

Cody and Charlotte turned to look at Aly.

"What?"

"What did you do to him? Why is he so angry?" Charlotte asked suspiciously.

"What? I didn't do anything..." Aly said, shifting her eyes away.

"Lies! Your face looks guilty!"

"Okay okay... I may have blown up his favorite car..."

Cody and Charlotte went quiet.

"Seriously? You deserve to be locked up for that."

"HEY! There was a reason!"

"What reason?"

"An emergency, you know!"

Charlotte gave Aly a cynical look.

Aly knew she shouldn't make Charlotte any angrier, so she moved closer to Cody.

"Hey Cody, open page 4 of the notebook."

"Okay..." Cody flipped to the page slowly.

20 January 1958

As usual, he taught me another weird, wicked spell~ Can't he stop with all these dark spells? But yeah, I couldn't resist-he said "ALICE WENDY, you are the special one."

Ugh, why do I fall for that so easily? It's annoying!

But anyway, he taught me a

Teleport Spell

Porta se aperiat, voluntas mea ferat, ad finem longinquum

"Hey! Don't just read it out loud!"

"Okayyyyy okay!" Cody said nervously.

"Say it!" Charlotte demanded.

"Porta se aperiat, voluntas mea ferat, ad finem longinquum!"

A bright light suddenly surrounded the three of them.

"Hey Charlotte-hold onto me!" Alice said.

"Alright," Charlotte grumbled as she grabbed on.

BAM!

They teleported right in front of a supermarket.

"Where are we?"

"Outside the supermarket..." Cody replied.

"I told you to go far away-why are we only here?!"

"Hey, stop yelling at him! It's not his fault-you didn't tell him sooner!"

Aly shot Charlotte a sharp look.

"What?"

"Nothing!"

"So what do we do now, Aly?"

They stared at the massive dragon standing before them.

"I'll distract him-you two read the next page in the notebook."

"Huh??" Cody and Charlotte looked confused.

"Where are you, Alice Wendy!!! Alice Wendy!"

The dragon went on a rampage, demolishing half the stalls nearby.

"The heck...!"

Mr. and Mrs. Wendy dropped the groceries they were carrying.

"Honey, what is that?!" Mrs. Wendy screamed.

"Woowwwie a dragon!" A little boy, around 5 years old, shouted excitedly.

"What on earth is happening here?!"

Mr. Wendy couldn't believe his eyes.

Everyone inside, outside, and near the supermarket started panicking-including the Wendys.

From a distance, Cody pulled Charlotte and Aly into hiding.

"Why are we hiding?"

"Does the teleport location depend on where we most want to go right now?"

"Yeah-why do you ask?"

"Well.... I kind of wished I could be with my parents, so they're here!!!!!!"

"The hell?!" Charlotte and Cody were left speechless.

"So what do we do now?" Cody panicked.

Seeing this, Aly gently placed her hand on Cody's shoulder and turned toward the dragon.

"Relax... I know what to do."

Aly's eyes turned blue-like gleaming sapphires.

She shrouded the dragon in light emanating from her eyes.

"That's so cool!!! What is that?!"

Cody and Charlotte exclaimed together, then immediately fell silent when they realized they couldn't risk being seen.

Noticing their worry, Aly spoke up:

"Don't worry-in this barrier, people outside can't see or hear anything happening in here."

"Really? That's insane!"

Outside, people watched in shock and fear as a large wall suddenly surrounded the area where the dragon was.

"Oh no! My little brother is in there!" A woman cried out.

Hearing this, the Wendys felt a jolt of fear-hoping both the child inside the barrier and their own kids at home were safe.

Meanwhile, inside the barrier:

"Hey! Where's Alice?!" the dragon demanded.

"I don't know!" the boy said, tears welling in his eyes.

"Huh? How could you not know?!"

"How would I know?! I'm just a regular 16-year-old kid! Please let me go!" the boy begged.

"Hey! Let him go!"

"Who are you-some kitten?" the dragon scoffed.

"Alice."

"Huh?!???" Rage flared in the dragon's eyes, as if all his blood rushed to his head at once.

Seeing this, Charlotte knew they were in trouble-and her stress spiked when she saw how tightly the dragon was holding a familiar boy.

"Lucas! Is that you?!!??"

The boy in the dragon's grasp heard a familiar voice and turned his head.

His face lit up with relief when he saw Charlotte standing there.

"HELP ME CHARLOTTE!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"What the hell are you doing here?"

"I stopped by the supermarket to buy chocolate, then this dragon grabbed me! Save me, Charlotte!"

Watching Lucas struggle, Charlotte wanted to help-but then she remembered something that made her furious.

"Aren't we fighting right now?!??" she shouted.

Cody looked at her with a judgmental expression.

"Seriously, sis? Now?"

"Yes!"

Aly just stared, speechless.

"Hey! Can we deal with the dragon first?!"

"Fine," Charlotte said, shooting Lucas a harsh look.

"She's still mad about the other day... Ugh!"

The dragon tightened its grip on Lucas.

"Say the spell-hurry!" Aly commanded.
