On this day, a game (called Heavenly Ball) is played where one must kick a light ball (the Heavenly Ball) with one's feet without letting it touch the ground, ultimately kicking it into a goal (the Heavenly Gate).

During the rituals, folk songs, folk dances, prayers, and oaths of the local kingdom are usually sung, danced, or recited.

Love and Birth Ceremony:

Love Ritual: The couple unites in a dragon's court while smoke spirals are released.

Before the union, they synchronize their breath—slowly, consciously—because in Longteng, the body follows the mind.

Love Prayer:

Common Speech: "Our breath is one."

Longyu: "Wǒ yǔ nǐ tóngxī " (我与你同息.)

Birth Ritual: The child is born in the same courtyard.

A dragon amulet is placed around the child's neck and held over the smoke,

so that the first breath knows the path of ascension.

Birth Blessing:

Common Speech: "The dragon has seen you and will protect you from now on."

Longyu: "Lóng yǐ jiàn nǐ, zìcǐ hùyòu nǐ " (龙已见你,自此护佑你.)

Marriage Ceremony:

Marriage Ritual: The couple kneels beneath a dragon statue.

Flames rise without burning – a sign that the dragon is testing the union

and permitting their shared path.

Marriage blessing:

Common language: "Together you ascend."

Longyu: "Tóng shēng ér xíng" (同升而行.)

Funeral Ceremony:

Funeral Ritual: The body is cremated; the smoke rises to the sky.

There is no grave—only ascension.

Those present slow their Qi until the smoke dissipates.

Funeral Blessing:

Common Prayer: "Your breath returns."

Longyu: "Qì guī tiān dào" (气归天道)

Longrenmen Folk Song: please see later to my TikTok.

Longrenmen Folk Dance:

"The Dragon Whirl":

Style: Large, majestic, dynamic.

Form: An S-shaped line formation like a dragon.

Movements: Wave-like movements, swirls, rapid changes of direction.

Hands rotating upwards (entire body rotates with them) = "Flame Whirl."

Hands turn downwards (entire body turns with them), and as the hands descend, they hold the hands of the person dancing next to them (left hand holds left neighbor, right hand holds right neighbor = circle dance).

A jump turn = change of direction = "Dragon Ascent."

At the end, the Dragon Prayer is recited together (see below).
